Save Somerset's libraries

Stop the consultation on reducing the funding for Somerset's libraries, including Burnham Library, and find the money to keep them as a public resource run by the local authority.

Why is this important?

Libraries are places of learning and sources of information. They provide a valuable community resource.

In these times of "austerity" they provide for families who otherwise
couldnt afford the resources to teach their children, and for those on low incomes trying to better themselves.

These are the reasons why the Victorians established public libraries and the benefit of all they should be kept Open, free and public.

Hi All
Thank you for signing and supporting this important issue.
We are close to 3,000 signatures which is amazing!
But the more the merrier, can I ask you to do one thing this weekend?
Please share the petition on Facebook, Twitter and any other way you can.
Remember there is strength in numbers and when Somerset County Council meet to start their consultation discussions I want them to know the answer they are going to get before they ask the question.

WE LOVE OUR LIBRARIES!!!
