SAVE GEORGE WARD PLAYING FIELDS MELKSHAM

SAVE GEORGE WARD PLAYING FIELDS MELKSHAM

Wiltshire Council have given themselves outline planning permision for 270 homes on our local playing fields. At this late stage we would ask that they re-consider these plans and allow this area to be used by the local community and local sports clubs.

Why is this important?

This area is vital to the local community. We have a shortage of sports pitches and community open space on the Western side of the town
The Council should be putting the local community before profit.

Reasons for signing

  • Council as usual putting profit before people
  • We face similar problems..You are not alone! Our 'Save the Downham Market and Wimbotsham Green Belt' campaign supports your cause. Please support ours!
  • Rare open green space in the area for sports, dog walking and local flora and fauna. Does this part of the world need yet more traffic, noise, pollution and concrete?
