Save Our Services - Herefordshire

Calling on Herefordshire Council to protect and properly fund ALL Public Services in the county, giving priority specially to those that affect the vulnerable in society, (Respite at No.1 Ledbury Road for example) and to also fulfill their legal obligation under the 1964 Public libraries and Museums Act.

Why is this important?

So many services are under threat and not always from an inability to fund, but more often from an ideological battle where money is wasted on vanity projects the public never asked for. From Libraries, Museums, to Respite Services ... there is a tendency for people to feel their single issue is more important than another, but all have their own importance, so this is a petition to include some issues not already covered by individual campaigns against a common threat to our daily lives.

How it will be delivered

In person at a future meeting to be determined

Since starting this petition, a whole raft of cuts were pushed through including bus services, respite care, libraries, museums and other services. Herefordshire has became the first county in the nation to loses it's citizen's advice bureau. This shameful set of affairs needs to be halted. Will you help us to draw a line in the sand and say "NO MORE!"? Tell your friends and family about it. Let's get this moving.
