SAVE SOHO FILM HISTORY

Living in Soho I have been witnessed to many changes within thirtyone years. None more so than the film indistory, back at the very beginning, Wardour Street was known as "Film Row". Charles Urban established the very first film establishment. Wardour Street in regards to the home of film industry became Mr. Urban's monor.
I wholeheartedly believe in keeping this amazing industry in its birth place. This is the history of Soho, cleansing to the bohemian way in Soho. Now Sir Richard Sutton's, prosal for a seven story hotel to be erected at the end of St. Anne's Court leading in along Wardour Street biteing into the heart of what is left of the film industry.

Why is this important?

This is important as Soho was the birth of the film industry as we know it, digitalisation and so much more. Mr. Urban, back in the early 1900's was saying then, "we are more than capable" putting England on the "map".

Soho is becoming an area of too many hotels, restaurants and new eateries popping up every second pushing industries, out of Soho like Film, as it "all stands" there is building work at every corner of Soho. The proposed building work is literally inches! from my friends flat, will take "appropriately two years".
