save our village in Herefordshire from intensive pig farming

Stop the underhand way intensive pig farms are being introduced into the countryside. 2000 pigs are classified as intensive and a 400m exclusion zone is enforced. What they are doing is applying for units with only 1950 pigs or two separate applications of 995 pigs - just a few animals under the intensive rating. However the factory sheds are classified as intensive units as the manufacturers clearly state are designed for 2000 pigs Finally these indoor pigs are being sold in the supermarkets as Outdoor Bred - a shocking swindle and seemingly ignored.

Why is this important?

It may be happening on our doorstep - our school, village hall, green and residents are less than 400m away - We are 50 pigs short of if never being approved - but if this goes through it will set a precedent for an influx - so look out poor little piggies could be coming near you soon!
