Stop the proposed traffic diversion through St Mary's Colchester
Please do not divert traffic from Balkerne Hill through St Mary's Fields and Rawstorn Road in Colchester
Why is this important?
Traffic from a Balkerne Hill, a major two lane arterial road, will be temporarily diverted through our narrow residential streets for up to 6 months.
This is unnecessary and will create huge new traffic flows through residential streets, causing air and noise pollution, traffic gridlock, and pedestrian hazards.
Residents have not been properly consulted by Essex County Council which should listen to our reasonable and legitimate concerns. Your road or street could be next!
Help petition both: (i) Essex County Council - to stop the traffic diversion and consult with local residents, and (ii) Colchester Borough Council - to stand up to the County Council on behalf of Colchester residents.
