Shire Hall should be the new Staffordshire History Centre!

We the residents of Staffordshire believe that the Staffordshire History Centre should be located in the Shire Hall in Stafford, a beautiful historical building that has until Sunday 2nd July 2017 been used since it was built in 1798 https://www.expressandstar.com/news/local-hubs/staffordshire/stafford/2017/07/05/farewell-vigil-as-staffords-shire-hall-locked-up/ . It makes no sense to build a new development to house the Centre when the Shire Hall is left empty http://www.staffordshirenewsletter.co.uk/4m-staffordshire-history-centre-forge-ahead-with-new-designs/story-30421002-detail/story.html . The £4m planned for the new development could be utilised in restoring and preparing the Shire Hall for the Centre.

Why is this important?

It is important that our Shire Hall is used and preserved being of historical significance to the town. It is totally unnecessary to have a new development built for the purpose of the History Centre when we have this building vacant that would bring character to the project rather than a costly development made of glass.
