Stop Israel bombing civilians in Gaza

Dear Mr Hammond,

Is there anything you can do to stop the Israeli army from bombing civilian families in Gaza? These are not military targets; children and innocent civilians should not be being targeted and killed in this war.

Why is this important?

This is a massacre and not a war: 2 weeks ago, Mira Bar Hillell wrote in The Independant: "the death toll in Gaza is nearing 100, one in four being children. Hundreds more have serious injuries in a place where hospitals have also been bombed and medical essentials are running out."

The death toll is now over 1000 with more than 6000 seriously injured. Israel is ignoring pressure from the UN and international community and showing no let up in these merciless attacks.
Jon Snow on Channel 4 news underlines why so many of the victims are children:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mR1LGoNg5p4

To sit back and allow this bombardment to continue robs us all of our humanity: whatever history has occurred with the war in Israel, these children had nothing to do with it. It needs to stop now.

How it will be delivered

The petition will be emailed to Mr Hammond on Friday 1st August

Thank you so much everyone for signing this petition: I'm going to send it to Philip Hammond now. Hopefully it'll go some way to letting him know how normal people feel about the massacre of civilians and children in Gaza and might even put some pressure on him to actually do what he's supposed to be doing and represent us. Most people in the UK are horrified by how the Israelis are ignoring international law and bombarding children in UN schools and hospitals, allowing snipers to shoot civilians and children for no reason and basically legitimising genocide of the Palestinians. It's disgusting and all the 'treading on eggshells' politics and maintaining of economic links with Israel should be discounted and real, serious pressure needs to put on Israel to stop this certainly disproportionate and cruel massacre.

It's gratifying that so many people in Bridtain are coming together to support the end of violence in Gaza https://www.facebook.com/palestinesolidarityuk
Just wonder why the BBC are so shy of reporting the massive wave of empathy and support for the Palestinians in Gaza?
