To the Mayor of London Mr Sadiq Khan: Please negotiate with Joe Corre to keep the collection of Punk objects for public display instead of burning them.
Why is this important?
Punk is part of our London cultural heritage. It's importance as one of the key youth movements of the 20th Century is acknowledged worldwide and millions of visitors come to London attracted by its multi-cultural qualities. It matters not just to the people that lived through the period but to our future generations. We believe that Joe Corre should donate the collection to the Mayor of London to find a suitable permanent exhibition space.
