To: Secretary of State Eric Pickles and Planning Minister Brandon Lewis

Stop planning approval for Brighton Hippodrome

The Secretary of State refused to call in the planning application. Nonetheless, the planning approval has not been carried out and the project to restore the Hippodrome continues.

We request that the full planning application and the listed building consent application for Brighton Hippodrome and Hippodrome House should be called in by the Secretary of State. Brighton and Hove City Council is 'minded to grant' these applications that will prevent the possibility of the Hippodrome ever being restored for its true purpose: live entertainment.

Why is this important?

Brighton Hippodrome is a unique Grade II* listed theatre (see https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/keep-brighton-hippodrome-for-live-performance). PLEASE SIGN THIS TOO, IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY.
