Stop the constant interference in Education - Trust Teachers

Here are some suggestions for you to consider.
Scrap OfSted and reintroduce the Inspectorate with local HMIs supervising and supporting clusters, within which schools can share resources. This will be more effective, collegial and cheaper.
Abolish league tables and measure success by examination results gained, taking full account of the school's setting and intake. It is nonsense to try and compare like with unlike.
Make parents fully accountable for the bad behaviour of their children and reintroduce the freedom for Headteachers to expel pupils without financial disadvantage to the school and make the process easier.Stop blaming the teachers for poor discipline; be brave enough to challenge the parents in the homes where the foundations for such behaviour are created.
Have a complete moratorium on political interference or the pursuit of ideological agendas.Trust Teachers with Teaching and listen to them.
Make the agenda what works best for the children in the area.

Why is this important?

The current system is demoralising and damaging teachers and stressing students. It is counter-productive, even cruel and therefore destined to fail.
If Ofsted were so effective why have we seen a decline in standards in the last twenty years it has exercised its malign influence over education?
It should be enough to be good and to be aware of what needs improving in your own school and teachers should be be allowed to use own creative intelligence and professional judgement to bring about the desired change at a rate which is humane and capable of success.
The need to allow a long period of peaceful stability is now paramount.
