Stop the government putting the abolition of the Human Rights Act into the Queens Speech

Stop the government putting the abolition of the Human Rights Act into the Queens Speech

Drop the abolition of the Human Rights Law from the Queens speech

Why is this important?

The individual needs protection from infringements of their human rights. Once the Act is abolished it leaves the way open for any government to ride rough-shot over them.

Reasons for signing

  • It is essential that our human rights are protected.
  • I am far more concerned that the motives for this are to enable the government to strip the population of their rights, rather than the media's wholesale propaganda that this is about immigrants and criminals. Without protection of our human rights, we are mere cannon fodder for the ruling classes, with no right of redress.
  • I signed because this could mean many groupse of people could be adversely affected
