Why is this important?

The Labour Party have decided not to vote against the benefit cuts in the Tories summer budget.
All independent observers such as the Institute of Fiscal Studies say that these cuts will have a devastating effect on millions of families and it is disgraceful that the Labour Party will not oppose them.
