A safe passing to Carlton and Faceby school.
We the above signed would like a safe passing place for our children to get to Carlton and Faceby school. The owners of a property have complained to the police and parish council about children Cutting across a garden. The school, parish council and police have told parents to keep children out of the garden area and use the footpath. We currently have police officers and parish council members in hi-visibiliy jackets patrolling the front garden whilst watching children having to walk to school on the road. As there is no footpath this means children must walk a distance of 30 metres in the road during busy times.
Why is this important?
We believe there is a genuine risk to children. Having to walk 30 metres down a busy road to the recommend parking place. This seems completely unnecessary when a footpath clearly is the answer.
