Ban Dangerous Herbicides in Renfrewshire

UPDATE: 22/06/16

Great news my friends, today Renfrewshire council, at a full council meeting, unanimously passed a motion to phase out the use of glyphosate weedkillers as soon as effectively possible, while running two pilot schemes trialling the Safe alternatives. Well done everyone who not only took the time to sign our petition but also those that took the time and effort to tell their friends and family about it. We can now look forward to living in a cleaner less harmful environment. I sincerely cant thank you all enough for your support.

Please ban the spraying of Monsanto's Roundup and other glyphosate herbicides on our streets and parks.

Why is this important?

The use of glyphosates has already been banned or restricted in 8 countries. It is not acceptable that ourselves, our children and the animals we share our community with are being routinely exposed to these chemicals whether we like it or not.

This is a matter of great importance for those of us who care about each other's health and the health of our children, our cats, our dogs and all the flora and fauna of this city, of course including our beloved bees.
