BRING ISRAEL GOVERNMENT TO UN FOR WAR CRIMES

STOP GENOCIDE IN GAZA AND FOR ISRAEL TO FACE TRIAL FOR WAR CRIMES AND THE USA TO BE QUESTIONED ON FINANCING IT.

Why is this important?

Despite its self-proclaimed concern for human rights around the world, the United States has been “funding and supporting Israel’s genocide” of the civilian population in Gaza, says an analyst from Los Angeles.

“The attitude here in the United States especially of political leaders is nothing short of supporting and funding genocide of mass scale,” Soraya Sepahpour Ulrich, an independent writer and researcher, told Press TV in a phone interview on Thursday.

“This has been the attitude for a number of decades,” she added.

She said that while running for presidency, Barack Obama “made it very clear that he would be serving Israel’s interests” and has been “very supportive of every crime that Israel has been committing” ever since.

After the 2008-2009 Israeli assault on Gaza, Ulrich said, Obama even “awarded Israelis with more weapons.”

The analyst said that it is “very curious” that the Obama administration would send US troops to Nigeria to search for the missing girls kidnapped by Boko Haram there, and yet “it votes against any resolution in the United Nations against a massacre.”

Ulrich pointed out that US support for Israel’s “genocide” in Gaza only reveals the “hypocrisy” of Washington in its claims about human rights.

Since July 8, Israeli warplanes have been pounding numerous sites in the Gaza Strip, demolishing homes and burying families in the rubble. Israeli tanks also began a ground offensive against the impoverished Palestinian land on July 17.

Some 750 Palestinians have been killed in 17 days of Israeli offensive against the besieged coastal strip. Most of the fatalities are women and children.

The Palestinian territory which has been under a crippling Israeli blockade since 2007 is now suffering from a humanitarian crisis worsened by the latest violence.

The US has been financially and militarily supporting Israel with American taxpayers’ money. Under an existing 10-year aid agreement between Washington and Tel Aviv, $30 billion of American money is flowing to Israel.
