End Stephanie's NHS Post-Operative Torment

My name is Stephanie White. Your signature could change my life with my battle against the NHS & their failure to grant me the post-operative support I desperately need for treatment, following a dream operation that has had nightmare surgical consequences.

I am a transsexual & in June of last year underwent my long awaited gender surgery where I was finally going to become a woman. However after awakening I soon realized something was very wrong. I was initially in unbearable pain & as the weeks went by and the pain eased I was to discover something that appeared horrific had happened internally.

Whilst the surgical genital area now appeared female, underneath neuropathically I had the heaviest lead weight & strongest feelings of male bulging genitalia bursting through underneath the skin, making my body into a new prison cell of unbearable transsexual torment & the opposite of everything the operation was meant to achieve. The surgeon has never denied that these problems were from the procedure. In fact at clinic appointments he almost boasted about how leaflets had been given to me before the operation about this happening, which I had never seen.

Google doesn’t seem to show this has happened anywhere worldwide though more research may be needed to confirm. The most mysterious thing is how the coccyx feels to have also suffered considerable damage which was a region the surgeon maintained that he did not touch.

My only hope of any means of treatment or corrective surgery is to obtain a successful image of the area to find out what has happened to me. The surgeon has confirmed without this image he cannot offer me any confirmed diagnosis to treat. Yet at the same time the hospital appears to be doing everything possible to prevent me obtaining the pictures by failing to disclose the required testing levels, each department professing no knowledge in the imaging levels & blaming each other. I am just left a victim, my operation is in shatters and any hope of treatment is now fading, almost as though I am being prevented viewing what has surgically happened.

Why is this important?

I have been told my condition is “long term” which can mean “life”. Obtaining an image, a confirmed diagnosis, and treatment plan, after nearly 16 months is a very fair & reasonable request. Your signature may stop the hospital preventing me from viewing what has happened in the operation, and instead get them to offer their co-operation and post-operative support that I need. If I have been horrifically damaged in surgery I have the right to be able to view & see what has happened to me.

Thank you everyone for all your support. I launched an official complaint with the NHS using the contact details & procedure supplied by PALS & got no response of any kind. As a result this petition with all your signatures has now been sent to the NHS and yesterday I received the following reply. Why they need 2 months to respond I am unsure but I will continue to keep you all fully updated...

"I will be leading on the investigation of your complaint, and aim to respond in full no later than the end of March 2018.

Unfortunately, the workload in the complaints team means that an earlier deadline is unlikely to be met".

Four days ago this petition had just one signature – At the time of this update there is nearly 200, with heartwarming messages sent worldwide, and during the last 24 hours a major breakthrough took place in that the hospitals radiology unit, after months of refusing disclosure of potential future levels etc as detailed above, finally broke their silence. Their sudden contact in just a few days of this petition launched is surely no coincidence. However their unsatisfactory response confirmed all the reasons why this petition began & must continue to grow worldwide until the hospital get me the correct tests and images needed for a treatment plan, & so I can view and learn what has happened to me. I ask you all to please place this wherever you can, in all possible media platforms so that it can continue to grow worldwide as every signature is so important to me.
