Facebook – Allow Stephanie Her LGBT Medical Help Petition
My name is Stephanie White. I am a transsexual who in October began a petition to get the medical help & treatment I needed from the NHS following nightmare surgical consequences from my gender operation. You can read events & sign my petition here
https://you.38degrees.org.uk/p/StephaniesNHSTorment
Within just 4 days I had gathered nearly 200 signatures with heartwarming messages arriving from all over the world. Then Facebook issued a major blow by removing links to my petition from their site, placing a restriction on my account, with a further automated warning effectively stating any further activity with this petition for medical support could have my Facebook account permanently suspended. To this day they continue to ignore all my contact requests for an explanation or appeal

Why is this important?
I believe Facebook should not feel able to violate my right to seek support for medical help needed as a result of my LGBT gender reassignment operation. I am asking Facebook issues a statement of apology together with assurances there will be no further interference to my petition. . As Facebook is the main social media platform I believe it should never prevent anyone reaching out for medical help or treatment, nor should it be allowed to block others supporting & signing these petitions too.
