Alcohol is the only type of food and beverage which doesn't legally require the ingredients to be labelled on the packaging. This petition is working towards forcing alcohol beverage producers to publish 100% of the ingredients and a nutrient table on the packaging of alcoholic beverages. So that the consumer can know how many calories are in their beverage as well as the ingredients.
Why is this important?
This is incredibly important for consumers so that they can make an informed decision on whether drinking alcohol is something that they would like to do. At present we have no idea what they're putting in alcoholic drinks.
