New Health Centre and Doctors Surgery for east end of High Wycombe
Residents are asking for a new full service Health Centre for east end of High Wycombe covering residents from Bowerdean, Totteridge, Ryemead and Micklefield.
We are petitioning for a new state of the art health centre to be delivered within the next 2 years. Funds can be made available but we need some focus and urgency from the Chiltern Clinical Commissioning Group (CCCG) to ensure a quick delivery.
This is being promoted by Trevor Snaith Chairman of Ryemead forum and supported by local residents and community organisations.

Why is this important?
The Background
Lynton House Surgery was marked for closure and not fit for purpose. However will have some refurbishment in January 2017. The big issue is they are working on reduced hours which is not good for residents or patients and we have a dire shortage of doctor provision in the East of High Wycombe.
A petition was presented to the BCC Health Scrutiny Committee by past Mayor/Chairman of Ryemead Forum Trevor Snaith. BCC listened and the chairman of the BCC Health Scrutiny committee took up the issue with Cressex Health Centre (Lynton House Surgery), NHS and the CCCG.
We faced considerable resistance to save the surgery from Lynton House Surgery, CCCG and the BCC Councillor for the Ryemead and Micklefield Division. They publically declared that the Surgery should close and for it to move to Wycombe Hospital despite considerable opposition from the public! THey also said a new Health Centre would not be possible. Thankfully we have proved them all wrong!
The great news is Lynton House will stay hopefully until we have a new Health Centre for East Wycombe. Where this will be is yet to be determined. When will it be delivered is unknown? The format and what on offer in the centre is also unknown. We would want CCCG to consult with residents on what we want . .
The pressing issue we face is there is a critical shortage of doctors and health services to the east of High Wycombe.
Residents are asking for a new full service Health Centre now!
Ray Farmer Ryemead Councillor and Trevor Snaith (Past Mayor and Chairman of Ryemead Forum) along with local community groups and residents have taken up this campaign and are now petitioning for a new state of the art health centre. This needs to be in East end of High Wycombe so it can service Bowerdean, Totteridge, Micklefield and Ryemead.
