Save Our Highland Bus Services
We are very unhappy at the cuts to a number of bus routes, particularly number 6 and 16 going down Dores Rd, Inverness, the 26 Inverness to Fortrose bus and the 25X and 25U to Culbokie and X97 and X99 from Inverness connecting with Orkney ferrys.
These cuts with very little warning make it impossible for some people to get to work and go about their daily lives without a car. We urge you to think again and want to work with you to increase bus use, as has happened on the Black Isle.

Why is this important?
Many people rely on buses for a variety of reasons. We would like to see an expansion of bus services, in consultation with the public as to where these are most needed, and a campaign for greater use, rather than admitting defeat and contributing to the decline by cutting vital services which people need.
This would have benefits in terms of cutting congestion and reducing climate change as well as reducing the social isolation which will only get worse if your new timetable is enacted.
