Save our bank branch

As the government hold shares in around 70% of the Bank of Scotland, I would like them to consider the old people on Canvey Island and other areas where the Bank is closing local branches and stop this happening without consultation with customers. I am 76 years old and have been using the Nat West Branch on Canvey Island for 53 years. The staff are excellent and very helpfull, customers are able to go in and discuss any banking issues.
Banking on line is fine providing you do not have a problem with any thing, if you ring customer helpline you can be listerning to music for up to 15mind before you get to talk to anybody. Then you are told to talk with another department.

Why is this important?

This is important because not every one has the internet, and even those that have sometimes have problems resolving them. This Government is suppose to be interested in promoting communities and protecting jobs Bank of Scotland will be making around 800 people redundant.
