Save South Purdown

The area of South Purdown adjacent to Muller Road in Lockleaze ward is under threat from a proposal by Bristol City Council to redevelop the area to provide sports fields to be used by Fairfield School. There has been no recent consultation because the original planning permission granted some years ago is still ‘live’. We call on Bristol City Council and Fairfield School to take every possible step to prevent the scheme from being implemented and to withdraw it in the interests of good relations with the local community.
Cllr Estella Tincknell, Cllr Gill Kirk

Why is this important?

We, the undersigned, recognise the need for good sports facilities for schools but oppose this development because it will risk the destruction of a precious natural landscape, threaten wildlife and remove a valued area of recreational space from the local community.
