Urgent action on Mile Oak Road traffic safety

Urgent action on Mile Oak Road traffic safety

Take urgent action to improve road traffic safety on the North Portslade section of the Mile Oak Road

Why is this important?

There have been a number of near misses due to the layout of the road and its geography. Tragically, a motorcyclist was involved in a serious accident on the 2nd December and residents are, rightly, demanding that something be done.

Reasons for signing

  • Blind bend were motor cycle accident leading to junction of chalky road. Vehicles speed up on straight bit past edgehill way. Have been lots of minor accidents, mirrors , scuffs and near misses. Not allowed to park on pavement but can 200 yards towards narrow part at mile oak gardens.??
  • After witnessing several crashes including ones that have ended in multiple deaths on this stretch of road, it's time to actually put something here to prevent this silly garbage from happening. The speeding needs to stop
  • Visability is poor along this road with the slight turns and parking right up to driveways and junctions.
