Ban the use of CSE films with children in the UK
Stop schools, police, social care, charities and any other professioal group from showing films of children being raped, abused, harmed and murdered as an 'intervention' or 'education' to children in the UK
Stop showing these 'CSE films' to children who have been sexually abused immediately
Take action against professionals who continue to make and show these films to children
Set standards which forbid the use of films of child rape and abuse as an education or intervention
Stop re-traumatising and using shock tactics with children

Why is this important?
Most parents and professionals outside of children's social care and police do not know that children from around 10 years old and up have been being shown several films containing the rape, abuse, grooming and murder of children in their school assemblies, in their youth groups, by police, by large national charities - all without parental consent and all without telling the children what is in the film.
Real stories from children:
'After I was raped, the worker made me watch Sick Party where a girl is raped- I kept crying but she paused it, told me to calm down and kept replaying it. I cut myself after she left.' - Child
'I was in the assembly hall and I begged the teachers not to make me watch it. I completely freaked out and needed to leave but then everyone would know I had been abused.' - Child
'The social worker kept making me watch films where the girls got raped, so I would 'learn the signs' and I kept saying to her 'Why are you showing me this? This has already happened to me?' - Child
'We showed one 13 year old girl who was being trafficked across Birmingham a rape scene from My Dangerous Loverboy 11 times. My manager told me to keep showing it to her until she realised she was being raped." - Social Worker
Key Facts:
There are around 10-15 key CSE films being used in the UK with children from 10 years old and up
They contain the rape, abuse, harm, grooming, drugging, trafficking and murder of children
They are shown without parental or child consent - some children are forced to watch them even if they are upset
Leicestershire Police, the makers and funders of Kayleighs Love Story, claim they showed a film in which a girl is raped and killed (which is certified 15) to 55,000 children from 11 years old and up
These films have never been tested or put through ethical approval and we have no proof they are safe
The stories so far from real children, parents and professionals is that children self harm, begin bed wetting, become anxious, have nightmares, have panic attacks and collapse when watching them
Children are being shown these films after they have recently disclosed a rape or child abuse - furthering their trauma
These films are written into local CSE safeguarding strategies and police despite being unsafe and untested
In January 2018, I published the first report on this - you can download it for free from www.victimfocus.org.uk or google 'Can I tell you what it feels like? Exploring the harm caused by CSE films'.
Hundreds of professionals and parents signed to end CSE films. Many local authorities, police forces, charities and organisations stopped using them - but the majority continued.
We now need to ban this harmful practice and protect our children.
