Fair representation within the Community Council

Openly advertise vacancies on the council to members of the public both on notice boards and over social media and then, as long as there is more than one candidate, to hold a by-election for that vacancy so that the electorate get to choose who should represent them.

Why is this important?

As it stands, less than half of the community council (CC) were chosen by the public.
There have been 5 new members since the beginning of May 2017 but none of these vacancies was advertised on the CC website or social media and yet a select few were able to find out about the vacancies and put their names forward.

How it will be delivered

Email to the Council Clerk and deliver in person at a CC meeting.
