George Medal for Jo Cox MP
Given the publication of Jo Cox MP's final words, which clearly define both her immediate desire to see her colleagues and companions safe at risk of her own life, and her own exemplary character, this petition requests the consideration of Jo Cox MP as a worthy recipient of the George Medal, if not a higher order of gallantry.
Why is this important?
Jo Cox devoted her life to helping the vulnerable, and died attempting to protect the unarmed from a murderer.
I believe that this exemplary behaviour warrants recognition at a high level in line with other similar acts of bravery regardless of personal cost.
