Give the Museum storage to the Stamford Town Council
Protect Stamford historical artefacts.
Ask Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) to gift the museum storage facility holding 24,000 artefacts about the rich history of Stamford back to Stamford Town Council and the community.
Lincolnshire County Council are proposing a time limited lease of eight years to our town on a peppercorn rent, this lease comes with an expensive repairs bill and contains short notice to quit before the eight years is up!
Why is this important?
The artefacts will go to Lincoln if we do not take action.
This building is a community asset and the future of the building and contents will be secure under Stamford Town Council guardianship.
The artefacts are of historical importance and should be displayed in our Town for all the enjoy.
