Please apply to the European Fund which is available to support steelworkers. The European commission runs a publicly funded globalisation adjustment fund that can grant over £100m a year for precisely the sort of situation British steelworkers now face.

Why is this important?

Other countries are using this fund to support their steel industries. Here’s a giant pot of money into which Whitehall should dip its fingers.
