Thank you for signing the petition Councils in Derbyshire- declare a Climate Emergency!, On Wednesdays Derby City Council passed the Climate Emergency motion unamended and with no abstentions. We won in Derby, at least. Thank you all for helping make this happen. UPDATE: 16.9.16 We'd like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for signing the petition calling on our government to scrap their planned caps to Local Housing Allowance - plans that would push thousand of vulnerable people out of their homes and put them at drastically increased risk of homelessness. We have some good news! Earlier today Damian Green, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, announced that housing benefit caps for supported housing will be deferred until 2019/20.

UPDATE - 12/01/15 - children’s community health services and the inpatient adolescent mental health unit in Bristol have, for now, been saved from privatisation! This is a massive victory for both NHS services in Bristol and the rest of the country. It shows what can be done when service users, staff, members of the public and councillors and MP's work together to hold the public bodies who make decisions about our NHS to account and let them know what we want for our health services.

09/03/19 - Success! "Thank You" to all of you for signing our petition to list College Farm as an Asset of Community Value. Last night the committee at Barnet Council met and unanimously agreed that the Farm should be listed. This is an important step in ensuring the farm stays as an open space for all and does not fall into the clutches of developers and is a great example of "People Power".
