The historic venue of the Waverly Hotel following a fire which destroyed the interior and has been left unattended by the freehold owners. This historic venue had been a successful operation with events, weddings and popular with clients. The people of Perth petition PKC to investigate and declare why the current owners have not protected the frontice villa structure from the elements namely repair the roof fabric. The signatories require all planning requests to demolish the said villa's be rejected. The signatories request that PKC use their statutory powers to compel the freehold owners to make safe and roof the building for future return to use.

Why is this important?

This is a significant historic venue used and experiences by Perth citizens for over a century. It association with the Perth community in a celebratory venue for weddings and events over many years merits recognition together with forming reuse plans
