Give Young People Business Banking
We want the banks to lower the age of business banking to 16, (The Same Age To Be A Director With Companies House) Or create a new bank account specifically for entrepreneurs under 18 years of age, which gives them control over their business banking, debit card etc.
Why is this important?
Young People Under 18 still cannot access the most important business necessities needed to run their businesses.
You need a business bank account to run a business, but to open a business bank account you must be 18 or over. But you are allowed to be a company director at 16.
It destroys peoples business branding, which has led to young entrepreneurs losing contracts with business.
The government has told us in previous letters that there is no age for business banking but banks will not allow you to have one unless you are 18 years or older.
There is a large number of misconceptions placed upon young people, and people always think that young people believe that they must get everything handed to them on this world. But it's not true, there a plenty of young people trying to succeed in business and accomplish something with their lives.
But nothing is being done to change things to allow young people to start businesses, employ people and further reduce the unemployment rate.
