Successful Campaigns

We are pleased to inform everyone that DBT is now available to those in Derby City!!! All Derby City and Derby County psychological services are now under the same bracket and receive funding from the same pot, so DBT is no longer classed as an external service. This means that Derby City residents with BPD can be referred for an assessment for the service via their CPN or psychiatrist.

We’re pleased to let you know that we gained 3,589 signatures as part of our petition and thanks to you our project has been saved for another year! So, thank you! That means, our vital service will continue to reach people from vulnerable and hidden communities who otherwise would not access support with their health and wellbeing. But it doesn’t end there. We still need your support. Plans beyond March 2017 are unclear. We want to ensure that Wirral Council continue to uphold its Public Sector Equality Duty and continues to commission tailored services to meet the diverse needs of Wirral’s BME communities.

Update 14/05/15: We won! The fire service withdrew as soon it became apparent that they were involved in a controversy. We'll be keeping an eye on the council's next moves in case they try to find another way to demolish the building.

The council have withdrawn the proposal.

Update 17/05/16 The situation was successfully resolved.

The electrification of the Midland Mainline has been resumed!

I handed in the 'Refugees Welcome in Lincoln' last Friday morning (11th September) and today I have just read on The Lincolnite that the council has agreed to take 200 Syrian refugees (link below). This is brilliant news. The school reviewed their tooth brushing procedures with the help of the dental team having engaged in open discussion and have decided to restart supervised teeth brushing and the whole PAT dental scheme at Lift Newington Primary.

From 20th April 2025, Stagecoach will be running three buses an hour on the number 2 bus route, and will include a more direct route too. Success at last, campaigning works!

UPDATE: 19/06/15 - The surgery has been saved. An agreement has been reached with NHS England.
