Stop the plans to develop a Subsidiary Company (SPV) in Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS TrustWe Won! 14/08/18 There has been an announcement this morning from a union whose members were among those going to be transferred to this company which says the Trust has changed its mind. "At a meeting Monday morning UNISON stewards received confirmation from Director Mark Braden that the Trust has stopped all work, both for now and in the future, on forming a Wholly Owned Subsidiary company." Thanks to our pressure with the leaflets sent to the Board, and the petition, combined with the voices of local MPs, the staff at the hospitals due to be affected, are very pleased to remain 100% NHS. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/mps-urge-mid-yorkshire-hospitals-trust-to-ditch-staff-transfer-plan-1-9282554 Thanks for getting behind this issue. It shows that when people get together they can effect change for the better. WE WON!!!!!167 SignaturesCreated by Christine Hyde

Fare Deal for Bath FamiliesUPDATE: 16/06/14 Congratulations! First announced cuts to bus fares in Bath for families, children and young people. These changes are definitely a step in the right direction. We could have hoped for more, but the campaign’s main job is done. My next move is to send the petition to Paul Matthews as a reminder of our views. In the meantime it’s important that we all keep an eye on fares, especially in January when rises are usually implemented. I see the final job for the campaign is ensuring that bus prices never rise out of control again.387 SignaturesCreated by Melanie Delargy

Save The Old 'Boys' HomeUpdate 14/05/15: We won! The fire service withdrew as soon it became apparent that they were involved in a controversy. We'll be keeping an eye on the council's next moves in case they try to find another way to demolish the building.370 SignaturesCreated by John Perkins

SAVE 40 HEALTHY TREES FROM BEING FELLED IN CASTLEFIELDS PARKUPDATE: 28/07/16 We campaigned against 38 trees being cut down, and I also wrote to the council planning department, raising a list of issues. They listened, though didn't meet with me, but that led to 23 trees being cut down, rather than 38, so we saved 15 trees! Thank you for your kind support, 38 Degrees staff xx.134 SignaturesCreated by Ann Carton

Stop the Public Space Protection Order to be implemented by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council.Update - 20/04/16 We Won! Stockport Council has decided not to implement the Public Space Protection Order. Stockport United Against Austerity wrote to Eamonn Boylan, Chief Executive of the Council to raise objections about the effects of the Order on homeless people and concerns that the consultation had not met with Government legislation. He did not reply, but when challenged verbally he said that he was dissatisfied with the 'evidence base' and that it did not justify the Order. Well done everyone, public objection can work! www.stockportunitedagainstausterity.weebly.com58 SignaturesCreated by Deborah Hind

NO to 275 new homes being built on farmland at Shurnhold, Melksham, WiltshireUPDATE - 11/10/16 - We won. We all knew from the outset that Gladman Homes’ plan to place 275 houses on land in Shurnhold was wholly unsuitable for our area. We worried about the effect it would have on flooding, on traffic, on school places, and on the nature and feel of our community. So we objected. We sent our objections to Gladman Homes, we signed this petition, we wrote to Wiltshire County Council. The Council listened to us, and agree that we were right, and so the Council turned down the application. But that was not the end of it. Gladman appealed to the Secretary of State. A two-week planning inquiry took place over the summer, which took into account the objections we had all made, and where evidence was heard from local residents. The Planning Inspector then went away to consider the evidence, and she has now published her decision, rejecting the application. So there you have it. Our voice has been heard, and working together we have won. Thank you. Mark Ashkowski597 SignaturesCreated by Michael Booth
