Successful Campaigns

19/12/16 We Won! Derby City Council parks department have been made aware that they must in future consult with the local community before taking action to change the nature of the riverside parks. Recently an open meeting was widely publicised before management strategies this autumn. I hope that this will continue.

15.04.15 - We gathered enough support

A few days ago counsellor David Harrison from Hampshire contacted me and alerted me to the favorable decisions made by the Red Cross to continue servicing the areas as it has done for the past 60 or so years. Because of our determination, belief in the service  and the necessity of the service I'm pleased to inform you that the service will remain open.

Update 24/3/15: Today we can announce that Achievement Bute has been saved! Argyll and Bute Council and Achievement Bute have now reached a funding agreement which will support Achievement Bute in developing a sustainable service in the future to support children with special needs, and their families, on Bute.

Following the apparent U turn of the school, children WILL be permitted to continue running freely in the main playground, the early years playground in addition to the ball court! Whilst running in a specific area will be discouraged for safety reasons, to reduce injury of children running into one another, children will still be permitted to run. The school issued a statement via their Facebook page this evening following the launch of this petition & direct contact from the BBC. I would like to thank everyone for their signatures & support to bring about this apparent back pedal from what had been outlined in the newsletter that running will only be permitted 'in the ball court', in response to 'bad behaviour'. The statement can be viewed on their Facebook page. Our children WILL have the right & freedom to run freely during child led free play! Well done, fantastic outcome!

15/08/18 We won, the visa has now been granted

UPDATE 01/04/16 Thank you for signing the petition Stop the Bridge Inn Rotherham welcoming racists and fascists. The pressure we have brought to bear on the brewery has paid off as they have confirmed that they will no longer host the EDL or other far right groups. BBC Radio Sheffield are calling it a victory for people power.

8/12/14 - Thanks to all your support online and in person, at the petition signing events and protest, we were able to reach The Mayor Luthfur Rahman and the Cabinet, who on 3rd December 2014 announced that all 4 public nurseries i.e Queen Mary, Mary Sambrook, John Smith and Overland are to stay open!

Last year the Bohemia had closed it's doors and was threatened with extinction. But after pressure from over 1,000 38 Degrees members, the council listed the building as an 'Asset of Community Value' - meaning it had to be a pub. A new buyer was found and the pub will reopen in Spring 2014.
