Save the Frome Plane Tree03/04/14 - I am pleased to announce that today, Mendip District Council have refused the application to fell the Frome Plane Tree. Thank you all for signing the petition - 2,744 signatures of support undoubtably made a difference - amounting to around 10% of Frome town's population. Well done also to those 80 of you that made a direct objection to the council, as that is the forum they really have to listen to.2,745 SignaturesCreated by Julian Hight

URGENT - STUCK IN PERUGreat News! Dear Supporters Just to inform you that several flights have now landed with hundreds of travellers and our daughter is back home. Thank you to all who signed and shared this petition, to the MPs who pushed for this to happen, to the staff at the Foreign Office and the Peruvian authorities, to Zoe and Caspar whose daughter was travelling with our daughter and were tremendous in their support and help. It is a huge relief to us and I'm sure, all other families and friends. Thank you to 38 degrees for helping and empowering people like us in difficult situations. We are aware that there might still be people in Peru who have not been able to get on the flights. It's important for them to contact the British Embassy, to via help@fco Best wishes Pablo47,069 SignaturesCreated by Pablo Uribe

Open Brighton's Homeless Shelters 365 days a year01/02/18 - We Won! On February the 1st, I presented full council with the 5,623 signatures of the ‘Open Brighton's Homeless Shelters 365 days a year’ petition and made an appeal to the room. After some debate, there was then a vote on expanding the provision of services to those already homeless. In a stunning repeat of last year’s unanimous vote, the council have now agreed - without abstentions - to send an extra £25,000 for night shelters, bringing the total to £160,000. This is an amazing result, and you played a key part in it. I’m so proud of what we achieved, as you should be.5,736 SignaturesCreated by John Hadman

Don’t wipe Hove off the map18/10/17 We won! We are now pleased as punch to say that you succeeded. You saved Hove. It will not be wiped off the map. Thank you! This morning, the Boundary Commission for England announced that it had withdrawn its proposals to end historic Hove as an independent constituency. Here's an extract: "The Hands Off Hove campaign, opposing our initial proposal to transfer Hove Park ward to a Brighton North constituency, was signed by 4,515 individuals during our initial consultation period. As they said, ‘Brighton and Hove may be partners in the formation of the city but they vigorously maintain their separate and distinct identities.’ These sentiments were reflected across the bulk of representations mentioning Hove." So thank you again for signing this petition, writing all those letters and emails and supporting the Hands off Hove campaign. Sometimes public consultation and big campaigns work, and this time the strength of your feelings won the day.4,731 SignaturesCreated by Rob Shepherd

Supermarket CEOs, hand back the cash!We did it! We got supermarkets to do the right thing and hand back their business rates relief back to the government. In total, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Lidl, Asda, Morrisons, and Aldi, are returning £2bn in relief money. Though this money should never have been given to them in the first place, our win proves that by piling on the pressure, we can hold these big businesses to account. And that's not all: we've also influenced how other big retailers handle their relief money. This is huge. By showing support for this campaign, you've played an important role in how we recover from this crisis. Now that we've had £2bn handed back, we need to see this money distributed to the right causes. When we clapped for carers and other essential workers, we weren’t thinking of supermarket CEOs or shareholders, but the thousands of people working on shop floors around the country who took the greatest risks to keep the rest of us safe and well-supplied.11,731 SignaturesCreated by Mia Watanabe

Protect small cider producersThanks to your support we were able to hand in a petition with over 26,000 signatures urging the Government to back small cider producers. On 8th July 2015, the Government responded in its Budget. The Chancellor has announced that the Government will retain the current duty exemption for small cider producers. This is excellent news for real cider drinkers and small producers alike. CAMRA is delighted with the Government’s commitment and will now be working hard to ensure that they can keep the promise with a legal exemption in the EU Directive. Thank you for making this a campaign win!27,314 SignaturesCreated by Katie McKelliget
