AFTER LONDON FIRE KCBC LEADER SHOULD RESIGN

Given the dereliction of duty shown by Kensington and Chelsea Council, both in failing to ensure adequate fire safety procedures were followed during the Grenfell Tower refurbishment and the wholly inadequate and shambolic response to the recent fire, the Leader of the Council should resign.

Why is this important?

Politicians should be held accountable both for their actions and for their failure to act in the best interests of the community they have been elected to serve.

I am no campaign strategist with influence and power. I have created this campaign as much as a personal gesture in support of the Grenfell Tower victims, their families and those whose housing and identities have been so tragically impacted by the fire.
Hopefully the media will keep up the pressure on those in authority to concede their failings, commit to fully support those affected and fully review, fund and implement robust fire safety regulations and monitoring arrangements to minimise the risk of this ever happening again...
