Stop employers covering up abuseVictory! NDAs to Silence Victims of Misconduct to Be Banned! Thanks to pressure from campaigners, survivors, and over 93,500 of you who signed this petition, the UK government has just announced a ban on the use of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to silence workers who experience harassment and discrimination. This is a huge step forward for workers’ rights. For too long, NDAs have been misused by bad bosses to cover up serious misconduct, from harassment to assault, forcing people into silence and letting perpetrators off the hook. Now, that’s about to change. The new rules part of the Employment Rights Bill will: - Ban gagging clauses in NDAs that stop victims and witnesses from speaking out - Protect whistleblowers who want to call out bad behaviour - Ensure justice for workers across all industries, including those in insecure or low-paid jobs This moment belongs to everyone who broke their silence and to you, for standing with them. But it’s not over yet. We’ll keep pushing to make sure this becomes law and is enforced properly so no one is ever forced into silence again. Thank you for being part of this win.93,809 SignaturesCreated by Louise Haigh MP

Campaign to save the Camp public house St AlbansUPDATE 15/07/15: We Won! Last week the council accepted the application and the pub has been listed as an Asset of Community Value! The first of its kind in St Albans I would like to thank all those who signed and helped get some protection for this community local. SAVE GOOD HOPE'S LOCAL SERVICESUPDATE November 2014: The aim for a public meeting to be held by the Heart Of England Trust to discuss their proposals for change and for patients to have their voice heard, has been successfully achieved. However, there are still other very important aims to fulfill, as the fight to save key local hospital services continues. Thus a NEW PETITION has now been set up here to oppose cuts at the hospital. Keep ticket offices open on London OvergroundThank you once again for signing and supporting the petition to Keep ticket offices open on London Overground. I wanted to write to you to give you an exciting update on the campaign. This week we heard from TFL and London Overground that 47 of the 51 London Overground station ticket offices proposed for closure would remain open. This is fantastic news and I would like to thank everyone that supported this campaign particularly those that signed the petition, submitted a response to the public consultation and of course transport unions RMT and TSSA. This really is a fantastic result that will ensure that passengers maintain safe, secure and accessible stations whilst being able to buy the full range of tickets available to them.2,053 SignaturesCreated by Martin Abrams

Two fire engines for ChesterSUCCESS AT LAST ! This Petition is now closed. THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE SUPPORTED OUR CAMPAIGN TO SEE THE RETURN OF CHESTER’S SECOND FIRE ENGINE. TOGETHER WE HAVE SUCCEEDED ! On July 1st 2020, Cheshire Fire Authority voted unanimously to accept the four year plan (IRMP) proposed by the Chief Fire Officer. In essence it was decided to return the Fire Engine from Powey Lane Fire Station back to St Anne Street in Chester City Centre when the new Fire Station (currently in build) is completed. This move will redress the current imbalance of resources whereby there are THREE WHOLE-TIME FIRE ENGINES located in close proximity North of the A5117 which are ideally placed to service Ellesmere Port, whereas there is currently only ONE WHOLE-TIME FIRE ENGINE to service the needs of Chester. Following the move each area will have TWO WHOLE-TIME FIRE ENGINES. This campaign has run continually for three and a half years ( following the Fire Engine being moved to Powey Lane Fire Station in January 2017) since when our campaign team "Chester Retired Firefighters" have amassed and presented irrefutable evidence supporting our claim. Thankfully the Senior Management Team of CFRS and the FA now recognize the issues we have raised and have voted for the pump to return. The success of this campaign is due, not only to the determination of "Chester Retired Firefighters" but is also due to the magnificent support we have been given by Chester MP Chris Matheson, Local Councillors from all parties, local business both large and small, our families and YOU THE PUBLIC. You should all feel justifiably proud in what has been achieved in making Chester and it’s surrounding areas safer. In total this online Petition and the paper version collected 7219 signatures which were presented to the Fire Authority. SINCERE THANKS TO YOU ALL. PROTECT NHS CHILDREN'S SERVICES IN BRISTOL & SOUTH GLOS FROM PRIVATISATIONUPDATE - 12/01/15 - children’s community health services and the inpatient adolescent mental health unit in Bristol have, for now, been saved from privatisation! This is a massive victory for both NHS services in Bristol and the rest of the country. It shows what can be done when service users, staff, members of the public and councillors and MP's work together to hold the public bodies who make decisions about our NHS to account and let them know what we want for our health services.6,982 SignaturesCreated by Nathan Williams
