Keep ticket offices open on London OvergroundThank you once again for signing and supporting the petition to Keep ticket offices open on London Overground. I wanted to write to you to give you an exciting update on the campaign. This week we heard from TFL and London Overground that 47 of the 51 London Overground station ticket offices proposed for closure would remain open. This is fantastic news and I would like to thank everyone that supported this campaign particularly those that signed the petition, submitted a response to the public consultation and of course transport unions RMT and TSSA. This really is a fantastic result that will ensure that passengers maintain safe, secure and accessible stations whilst being able to buy the full range of tickets available to them.2,067 SignaturesCreated by Martin Abrams

Festival of Making: Drop BAE SponsorshipThe Festival of Making has issued a statement saying it has refused BAE sponsorship. It has also removed the BAE logo from its website. This closely follows our successful petition last year, when BAE withdrew as a sponsor of the Great Exhibition of the North. With your help, we are showing that BAE Systems cannot art-wash its corrupt arms deals.339 SignaturesCreated by Art Not Arms

Stop the Council's plan to build on Leyton marshes28/01/22 We won! London Borough of Waltham Forest did not rezone the large swathe of green open space around The WaterWorks Centre for housing, and has committed to protecting the borough’s Metropolitan Open Land in its draft local plan. That’s not to say that the Waterworks Meadow is safe from development. The Lee Valley Regional Park Authority still has plans to knock down the WaterWorks Centre and build something on the site of the Centre and its car park, but their original plan to build housing has been scuppered and it will be harder because the site hasn’t been rezoned. If you want to keep an eye on the story as it unfolds, follow Save Lea Marshes on Twitter (@SaveLeaMarshes) or online (www.saveleamarshes.org.uk).6,452 SignaturesCreated by Abigail Woodman

Don't make thousands of vulnerable people homeless!UPDATE: 16.9.16 We'd like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for signing the petition calling on our government to scrap their planned caps to Local Housing Allowance - plans that would push thousand of vulnerable people out of their homes and put them at drastically increased risk of homelessness. We have some good news! Earlier today Damian Green, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, announced that housing benefit caps for supported housing will be deferred until 2019/20.1,906 SignaturesCreated by Cyril Bezant
