STOP NOW undercutting and exploitation in the Engineering/Construction sector

We the undersigned say End NOW ! , the undercutting of UK Engineering/Construction workers ,end NOW ! the exploitation of mainly East European Engineering/Construction workers orchestrated by companies such as Duro Dakovic ,Babcock Wilcox and Volund .UK workers are being SHUT OUT of Power Station construction projects by the above Companies actions/inactions as well as numerous other overseas companies that refuse to pay UK rates of pay and mercilessly exploit and coerce workers from overseas .This henious practise must END NOW , employ UK workers on the construction of these power stations and when employing overseas workers pay the UK rates of pay .ALL WORKERS MUST BE TREATED EQUALLY AND FAIRLY ,please sign this petition

Why is this important?

Many bio fuel and energy from waste Power Plants are being erected within the UK , and because they are under 50 mega watts central Govt planning permission is not required by law ,however, if it was required these companies such as Duro Dakovic /BWV would have to respect UK industry wide agreements that would protect and promote UK workers employment levels on these sites and protect overseas workers .UK workers would NOT be marginalised from these projects and East European and other overseas workers would NOT be exploited .The FAT CATS are laughing all the way to the bank while British and Nothern Irish Tradespeople draw dole as they are denied employment on these projects and overseas workers are treated with disdain by unscrupulous employers .it MUST and IT SHOULD STOP NOW . Duro Dakovic for instance ,took the monies that were paid to their workers over and above the UK minimum wage off them when they returned to Croatia and in many cases these were considerable sums .This happened on Multi Fuels Yorkshire which had a UK Trade Union agreement ,MOST SITES DO NOT !!!! PLEASE HELP UK workers need jobs and overseas workers need protecting .Its worth bearing in mind the UK N.A.E.C.I. agreement for this sector has been undercut by 61% (ie £11.61p per hour) when the UK minimum wage has been applied on these projects ,this is a SCANDAL and NOTHING ELSE ! PLEASE HELP .Many thanks Simon Duncan Hartlepool No2 GMB Thermal Branch
