Stop cuts and improve conditions for our UK Police ForceThe police on our frontline that have to deal with crime on a daily basis are being treated horrendously and all the government is doing is cutting or not replacing frontline police officers. If our officers on the frontline are not supported and are put in danger every time they go to work because of numbers or because other departments are just trying to hit targets how can they do a job of a police officer. Our government has wasted endless amounts of money on police commissioners that are paid £100k per year and do nothing to help make our communities safer. As a society without a strong structured police forces that is supported to do a great job we will Find crime isn't being solved but left for us to deal with. This is an important public service that as a community we should be fighting for and also looking at the police officers on the front line that are being treated and put in further danger everyday.588 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Mili-Anne Bhatia

Save Our Public Nurseries Tower HamletsThese nurseries are outstanding and a fabric of the local communities, part of the community history and cohesion. Some have been running for over 30 years, with dedicated well trained staff teams. All 4 remaining provide affordable childcare to children with different type of needs i.e special educational needs, parents on low -medium income, lone parents, students, residents that may require support. Closures will affect parents ability to work, study, lone parents. Disruptions will affect the children's well being. They offer children quality care and are alternative to often overpriced private sector nurseries. Poverty of families in Tower Hamlets is increasing, so is the younger population of children under 10, yet there appears to be no long term planning by The Council of how to support the outstanding nurseries to continue their work within local community. Please support our petition and campaign Save Our Nurseries - Tower Hamlets.592 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Alicja Topij

Fight Edinburgh Allotments Rent RiseIt's unfair and contrary to Allotment legislation. It breaches an agreement that governs prices in Edinburgh. It will make allotments unaffordable. It is prejudicial against the poor, disabled and elderly. It would make Edinburgh allotments the most expensive in the UK. It is contrary to healthy living policies of Council and Government.2,413 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Ernie Watt

Back Clive Efford MP's Bill to save our N.H.S.On November 21, MPs will vote on a Private Member’s Bill aimed at halting the spread of privatisation across the NHS. Clive Efford’s Bill would scrap the worst parts of the Government’s Health and Social Care Act of 2012. The 2012 Act unleashed privatisation by imposing competition law on the NHS and exposing services to bids from private companies. Clive Efford’s Bill would rein in privatisation by • Removing competition requirements and regulations • Preventing the NHS watchdog Monitor acting as a competition enforcer • Restoring the Secretary of State’s duty to provide National Health Services • Shrinking what NHS hospitals are allowed to earn from private patients – currently up to half their total income! This petition has been launched by Stockport NHS Watch. We will deliver it to all four of Stockport’s MPs and lobby them to stand up for the NHS on November 21. We cannot stand and watch the NHS being stolen from us!862 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Graham Trickey

Restore Funding to The People's History MuseumThe People's History Museum in Manchester is the only museum in England dedicated to celebrating the history of working people. It tells the story of working people's contribution to this country in both peacetime and war. It charts their struggles from the deportation of the Tolpuddle Martyrs, through Lancashire mill workers during the American Civil War as well as working people's solidarity with anti-apartheid campaigners in South Africa. And now, during the centenary of the First World War, the museum's current exhibition tells the story of the working people of Britain throughout the war. The museum's deputy editor Cath Birchall has said: “They [the government] don’t see the importance of a national museum that shows the effects of the war on ordinary people.” A war where approximately 750,000 people died in combat and more than a million were injured fighting abroad, and which also resulted in huge numbers of domestic casualties with as many as 100,000 dying of malnutrition and disease. Please stop the cuts and save this national treasure. After all, in the words of Len McClusky, "History is not just about those who write it, but about those who live it. Working people and the labour movement have been at the forefront of all social and political changes this country has undergone over the past three centuries. We must defend the People’s Museum ... and safeguard the one museum dedicated to telling the story of us all".9,446 of 10,000 SignaturesCreated by John Bassil

Save Tonmawr Primary School, Say NO to Closure!Tonmawr Primary is an Outstanding school, with the recent Estyn Report supporting this. We also have a specialised unit for children who have learning difficulties. The local authority Neath Port Talbot Council are proposing to close our school, along with 4 other schools within the Authority, at the end of this Academic year. NPTC want our children to attend an already over-crowded school, where the classroom staff to child ratio is already exceeding the Welsh Assemblies recommendations. It is not yet known exactly where NPTC are planning to uproot and then place the children that use the special unit. We want to make a stand, and we want our children to be educated in their own community school, where they are very happy and very well educated, in a school that prides itself on their very many achievements. Please help us keep our treasure of a school open.873 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Rebecca Lloyd

Petition to save Wolverhampton deaf servicesWolverhampton deaf advice service at citizens advice bureau have made a decision to cut funding for supporting the deaf community. I can't believe the government keeps cutting valuable services like this. Without the deaf advice service at citizens advice bureau in UK the deaf community would be suffer, as many of us can't hear or use English fluently, as our first language is British Sign Language (BSL). Please support the deaf advice service at Wolverhampton. We need to make it known to the government and Wolverhampton Council that it would be impact to close any deaf services.682 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Sophie Iliffe

keep our lollipop manSafety for our children. Alan has become well known and liked by both children and adults alike, he always has a friendly smile and a wave to give weather you are walking or driving to school. He provides a much needed service at a crucial crossing point, with a much needed smile come morning and night. It is my personal experience that I am unable to cross my 2 young children across the road as there is no dropped curb, I have to use a mobility scooter to take my children to school and have to go onto the road to be able to get on and off the path, Alan safely crosses my children for me and the proceeds to aid in my crossing too.415 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Andrew clarke

KEEP HOLLINS VIEW OPENHollins View provides residential respite and short-term breaks. Intermediate Care beds for people leaving hospital and day care services to over 400 people a year. Cheshire East plans to close Hollins View and transfer care to the Private Sector. There is already a shortage of care beds in Macclesfield and the closure of Hollins View could result in people having to travel out of the area, or for some people, no help at all. Carers save Cheshire East thousands of pounds a year caring for their loved ones 24 hours a day seven days a week and sometimes need a break to enable them to carry on caring. If Hollins View closes they could be left unsupported. This service is vital to Carers and to their loved ones. SEND A MESSAGE TO THE LEADERS AT CHESHIRE EAST COUNCIL AND DAVID RUTLEY MP THAT HOLLINS VIEW IS A VITAL AND NECESSARY SERVICE AND MUST NOT CLOSED.1,095 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Laura Jeuda

Save Crowborough Birthing CentreThe Crowborough Birthing Centre was the first midwife led birthing centre in the country. It is much valued by all the mothers in the area. Unfortunately because of the problems in the Eastbourne NHS Trust the Crowborough unit keeps being closed temporarily and was under threat of total closure. Not only does the unit provide something approaching a normal home birth it is also very cost effective. Because of the threats of closure there has been moves to transfer the unit to the Pembury hospital under the Maidstone NHS Trust where the future of the unit would be more secure.69 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Norman Halliday

Keep North Tees Haematology Ward OpenThe people of Teesside and the surrounding area have a higher than average incidence of complex blood disorders. This is almost certainly due to the history of chemical manufacturing in the area. The Haematology Ward has eight beds and caters for those patients with the most complex needs, usually when they are at crisis point. The current staff are all totally dedicated to improving the well-being of these patients and are devastated by the news of the planned closure. Although there are currently no plans to close the Haematology Day Unit at North Tees, the loss of the Haematology Ward will mean that patients will not receive the vital continuity of care that they must have when their condition requires a stay in hospital. Instead it is planned to send them to either South Tees or Sunderland. It is unbelievable that the Trust plans to throw in the towel. What next? The NHS faces death by a thousand cuts. Please help to stop this being one of them!
