I think "growing" insects is the sufficient condition of private citizens DOING SOMETHING of real eco-value FOR ALMOST ZERO MONETARY OUTLAY.

Kingsway in Kirkby in Ashfield is having car accidents constantly because of people driving too fast and not paying attention. The central bollards have not stopped the issue. We need an average speed camera system to try and slow people down. This road has a school on it and many residents have vehicles parked on the road. These vehicles are the ones that get damaged and destroyed when speeders hit them. One day it will be the school kids getting knocked over.

As a constituant of Trinant in the ccbc area. As a high profile criminal activity area we would like to keep the street lights on past 12am as criminals are stalking our homes and doing criminal damage over the time of lights out. It is also dangerous for people who go to work and home and can't see their hand in front of their faces We need to keep our street lights on after 12 am as its dangerous and also criminals are waiting for lights to go out to start their campaign of burglaries and criminal damage. We need to feel safe in our own community.

It's not fair on low income people struggling with the cost of living. This will not help anyone on a low wage below 30000 will force them into debt and more poverty. Very important to take action now this will effect everyone not needed. And cost living now causing poverty won't be affordable not needed.

None of these actions would require significant investment, in fact these are very simple and cost effective steps for the University to undertake. They would however deliver a big return in value. The University's now defunct Sustainability Strategy states: "Even in this urban setting we can make a real difference in terms of biodiversity. And this can also reap benefits – improved health and wellbeing, education, volunteering opportunities, a reduction in flooding and an enhanced image can all be realised through a thriving natural environment". A positive change for wildlife will make the campus a beautiful and inspiring place to work and study. Doing more for nature on campus would be a win-win scenario for wildlife, staff and students. We call on the Vice Chancellor, Simone Buitendijk, and the University of Leeds to take action now. The world is in the midst of a biodiversity crisis. 70 of our British bird species are red listed. Numbers of pollinators and other flying invertebrates are crashing. The University of Leeds' own research has documented this and raised the alarm. Yet despite having a biodiversity plan, the main University campus remains a hostile environment for wildlife. The University's token efforts to support biodiversity are well meaning but effectively amount to little more than institutional green washing. Here are 4 concrete examples of the University's failure to take biodiversity seriously: Wild Peregrine Falcons have been present since 2015 and have nested successfully several times on the Parkinson Tower. Yet anti-pigeon netting was only partially removed when a social media storm about Falcons trapped under the netting forced the University to take action. The Peregrine Falcon is a Schedule 1 species, meaning it has the highest degree of protection in law. 3 dead Peregrine Falcons were found under the nets. A remaining piece of netting has not been removed despite promises made in June. An Ecology student studying at the University of Leeds found possible Pyramidal Orchids growing on a small area of grass on campus. He notified Estates and the Sustainability Department. Despite this, the Orchids were strimmed. In Spring 2021 the University gardeners were seen cutting down all the bushes and scrub in St George's Fields on campus. The University's Biodiversity Action Plan congratulates itself (100% score) for "planting of native tree and shrub species" and "improve the biodiversity value of hedgerows on campus" yet existing scrub has regularly been removed - even in the nesting season. The Roger Stevens pond was "rewilded" in a fantastic effort to turn this concrete pond into a place for wildlife. But a member of the Estates team has been regularly adding non-native fish - a guaranteed way of removing natural invertebrates and destroying the wildlife. The dragonflies touted in a message from the University on social media, are rarely present. The University Biodiversity Action Plan reveals a score of 0% for "Protect areas important to local or campus biodiversity". In a single statement this reveals that the University is almost completely failing in its commitment to nature. The Sustainability Department have an array of green initiatives but without serious support from the rest of the University, their well intentioned efforts amount to little more than institutional green washing. It is unacceptable for the University to use these token steps for wildlife as a box ticking exercise to avoid taking genuine action.

The care and support our elderly need is taking months, leaving our elderly neglected and declining. The municipal care homes were closed and private for profit opened the same as home care, it's only costing millions because you sold off the care. Our elderly are massively neglected and left without care and support due to the ring fenced money. It's stoke on trent and the UK.

In the year 2020/1 the cost to the taxpayer for food and drink (including alcohol) consumed in Parliament was over £9 million with £1.8 million being spent on ‘Banqueting’ alone.* This in a time where NHS staff are using food banks and are charged to park in their own places of work. The fact that MP’s have decided that tax payers should subsidise their food and alcoholic drinks, without our direct consent, is utterly scandalous. People must not suffer further whilst parliamentarians enjoy cheap food in drink at our expense.

Right now MPs who are under investigation for sexual assault or misconduct are not required to be banned from Parliament - instead they can only be asked not to attend. Earlier this year, an MP who was arrested on suspicion of rape was just simply asked to “please stay away”. And reports suggest more than 50 MPs are being investigated for sexual misconduct. But a group of influential MPs recently met to discuss the possibility of MPs being banned from Parliament if they are accused of sexual assault. It could be unpopular with some in Westminster so it's up to us, the public, to convince them to do the right thing.

The residents of Castle Terrace, Berwick upon Tweed are sick of the speeding traffic in our street. These are some of the problems we currently face: 1. A daily gamble to safely exit our drives. 2. Drivers coming off the A1 and think they are still in a 60mph zone. 3. Drivers going too fast to safely negotiate the bend at the station end of the street. 4. Lorries and cars overtaking parked cars narrowing the road dangerously. 5. Cyclists been squeezed into a gauntlet. 6. Pedestrians taking risky crossings. 7. Parents rushing to get children to school on time. 8. Boy racers. Castle Terrace residents have formed a group to take up the issue of speeding in the area. Our local Councillor arranged a speed survey and in the week surveyed, the results unsurprisingly confirmed our concerns of speeding. Here are the highlights 1. Roughly half of all drivers broke the speed limit. 2. Nearly 4000 vehicles exceeded the speed limit 3. The top speed recorded was 75.6mph 4. 40 mph plus is exceeded regularly The survey was taken during a school holiday otherwise the numbers may have been higher.

The Brixham Chamber of Trade, is reported to have concerns including (but not exclusively) the following: "The closure of this road for even one week would be extremely difficult for our town. The route down towards Goodrington will be gridlocked for much of the day. Emergency services will struggle to get through. Tourists will turn around and abandon their plans to visit Brixham or Dartmouth. “Children will be unable to get to school. Nurses will be unable to get between home and Torbay hospital. We should be showing the world that we don't subscribe to their idea of how people should be living their lives, at the very least there should be no press coverage, take it off the TV. Qatar is living in the dark ages when there was no football or TV, if they want to hold the World Cup they need to join the 21st Century.

Do you you have Advisory Disabled Bays where you live? Do you have problems finding a space because Non Blue Badge Holders use them? The one place disabled residents need to park, is at home. So why are advisory disabled bays not enforceable? Every day, genuine disabled residents can't park at home because there are inconsiderate residents, who aren't disabled, who park in them. This has such a devastating impact on those who are genuinely disabled. If they aren't enforceable, what is the point of them? All disabled bays should be enforceable, especially, if they are residential because otherwise, a disabled resident can't get home, as I have experienced. I know there are thousands of disabled people, throughout the country who suffer with this problem & the only way we can change the archaic laws is if we stand together to make changes.
