This idea was suggested in The Sunday Times, (9th May 2021), James Timpson column (bottom of page 3 Business & Money section). It will encourage Companies to be more supportive of Charities especially needed now the Government has cut Aid.

  • Payday loans included in FSCS or banned
Examples of these well known payday lenders include, Wonga, MyJar, Amigo, Moneyshop, Payday UK, Payday Express and the list goes on. As these businesses make up a large part of our financial services Loan system, consumers should be covered by FSCS just as they are with high street lenders.

  • Gambling Advertising
During lockdown I have been horrified by the number of adverts for online gambling sites. The type of adverts are so cynical, suggesting you would be part of a family or a group of good friends if you just go online and waste your money. I can imagine a lot of bored people taking the chance and finding they're in debt. Gambling is a problem in the UK as it is.

  • Impose a Covid windfall tax.
After 10 years of forced Austerity cuts to bail out the greedy Bankers it's about time the top 5% and the big online companies stepped up to the plate to get Britain's damaged economy on the road to recovery without we the people footing the bill as of 2010 until present day. It's time for real change and a fairer economy, not a rigged economy to benefit the already rich.

  • Low letter box back breakers
Working as a post person for close to twenty year . I have frequently seen and heard of colleagues with back problems . They have eventually ended up retiring early on medical grounds. We walk around ten mile per day and deliver to between 500- 1000 doors a day. Depending on the housing areas. The new builds of housing estates are adding front doors that are inches off the floor. The new brushes behind the letter boxes make it harder to post anything through. This may sound trivial to most but it is quite serious to the people who are dealing with this on a daily basses . This petition is to stop new doors being manufactured with low letter boxes .

  • Make Chartwells pay back the profit they took for free school meals.
Free school meals funding should be for the families and children who need it. Not for a company to profit from.
