• Save Sutton on Sea Colonnade and Beach Huts
They are unique to the East Coast of England. They were reconstructed after the floods of 1953. It speaks of traditional English sea frontage. The character of the colonnade has remained from it's original construction. The colours and shapes just stand out and represent a good old fashioned seaside resort. Hundreds of thousands of people over the years have strolled along the promenade or played on the beach, with these simple but beautiful Beach Huts in the background.

  • Sticker free produce
Often, wen customers opt for the most sustainable and least packaged item in supermarkets they are still faced with having dispose of the plastic sticker on the product. (e.g. kiwis and apples are big culprits). Although small, the plastic pieces accumulate from our weekly, monthly, yearly shops and thus in the landfill sites we send them too. These stickers are useful but not necessary. The product can be identified and priced from a label attached to the shelf its situated on before purchase. However, if it is still deemed as important, companies can investigate alternatives such as biodegradable or edible ones (made from sugar paper, for example).

  • Road Safety Measures for Long Road Lawford
It's important because it's an accident waiting to happen especially in the afternoon when there is no crossing patrol to help parents and children to cross this extremely busy road. My 3yr old daughter and in-laws were involved in a near miss crossing this road on 4/10/18. Following a message on social media I have found out in the last month since the school returned from summer break there have been at least three other near miss incidents and one child has been knocked over. A crossing has been talked about for years on this site but nothing has been done. With all the extra traffic created by the new housing estates in the area the situation is only going to get worse. We need Essex Highways to take action ASAP before a serious accident occurs.

  • New Youth Clubs For Peterborugh - UK
This is important because the amount of anti-social behaviour is increasing rapidly. This can also help reduce crime within the area if the younger generation are surrounded with a happy, more fun, environments where they can meet new people and try new things.

  • Wembley must stay in English ownership
When everything worth having in the UK is being sold off to foreign investors it seems about right that Wembley Football Stadium will be added to the list. But no one seems to realize that its our proud heritage, the one place that all that is good in English football comes together, players and supporters alike, it belongs to Englands proud supporters!. It is said that it would be better to play England games at local Grounds to allow more people to gain access to the matches but nothing is said about Pride, Joy, experience and Atmosphere created all be it expensive taking into account travelling expenses and ticket costs for a very special day, its a day out to be remembered for years to come. As for Grass Roots Football I am sure that the Premiership teams would not miss a small percentage of the cash allocated by the FA each year if it given to the teams that could benefit from the extra money, and I do not think this will effect premier teams too much as it just means reducing huge payments to players by a small amount knowing that they are helping teams and supporters from the very pool that the future of English football comes from. Come on Greg Clarke and Martin Glenn football should not be all about making Money, surely there is room for Passion, Heritage, Tradition and our Football History!, not Greed. Leave Wembley Alone.

  • Keep the Good Ship as a music and entertainment venue.
This plan will result of a 50% reduction in "useable" "pub" space. The proposed "cave in the basement" will never become a viable pub or music venue and as planned ground floor ceiling at the rear will be too low to be suitable as a music venue. So Kilburn will lose its last live music venue. In time the rest of the pub will converted to housing.

  • Fair representation within the Community Council
As it stands, less than half of the community council (CC) were chosen by the public. There have been 5 new members since the beginning of May 2017 but none of these vacancies was advertised on the CC website or social media and yet a select few were able to find out about the vacancies and put their names forward.

  • Say no to large wind turbines on the Island of Sark
We wish to maintain the beauty ,tranquility and uniqueness that our Island of Sark is privileged to have . We feel the siting of a wind turbine with a height of 77m (252 ft) to top of turbine rotor would be completely out of charecter for our Island . Not to mention the noise to local residents and the danger to birdlife .

  • SAVE CREDITON COUNCIL OFFICES FOR THE COMMUNITY
The Council Offices are used by Crediton Town Council to hold meetings in the council chamber and to conduct their business. The building is also used by Citizens Advice, the Churches Housing Action Trust and about 20 other charitable organisations and as a base when community events take place on the town square opposite. All these organisations will be left homeless and there are no other suitable premises close in to the town. Council officers recommended that the building be sold to the Town Council at 50% of the restricted value as recommended by council officers in April 2017 - the same terms as Tiverton Town Hall was sold to Tiverton Town Council recently.

  • Make 101 a free call
Nobody wants to be the victim of a crime or need to call the police. If you've just lost everything the last thing you need is to find 15p to call someone. It just does not make sense to be charged to report something that wasn't your fault in the first place. Plus with mobile calls you might get disconnected and 5 calls later you've spent 75p.......
