The current caricature statue in the new development is receiving almost unanimous criticism and in no way reflects the history of our valley as a world-leading producer of special steels. Industrial relics around Attercliffe and within the grounds of Northern General Hospital create a great deal of interest and are meaningful to the area. We should emulate this idea. Once erected, the monument would be indestructible requiring no maintenence and would generate a lot of interest and pride in the industry which was responsible for the very existence of our town.

Starbucks have never paid full tax - in case you hadn't noticed, tax-dodging is losing our economy over £8 billion a year in lost revenue. Our infrastructure including hospitals, police force & schools are at breaking point following drastic cuts to their funding by our Conservative government. We, the residents of Hythe do not want another tax-dodging big business to do business in our town, taking custom from the owners of our unique independent (tax paying) cafes. Hythe is sought after place to live BECAUSE it has a unique high street. Uglyfying our high street will also effect local property businesses as it will become a less attractive place to live. We do not want to become a bog standard, ugly high town with generic, plasticky shops like every other. Where is it all going to stop?

His work has been life changing for so manyof our unsung heroes and he, and the continuing work he has instigated deserves the countries recognition.

The BBC has never been under such threat. It's being wound down with a view to the private market taking over areas that previously the BBC was responsible for. It always was a bastion of impartiality but that has been undermined by the Government choosing who is on the BBC Trust board! As such it's become nothing more than the official state broadcaster but under the guise of an independent organisation! This is dishonest broadcasting and it must stop!

The dressage horse Uthopia is a massive part of the legacy of the London 2012 Olympics, where he helped Team GB win team gold in the dressage. However, he is due to be auctioned off as part of a bankruptcy asset sale by trustees Keenan Corporate Finance and HNH Group on 27th May 2016. Please don't let this happen. Uthopia deserves to retire in peace with his rider Carl Hester, who has cared for him for the last 11 years. Uthopia's welfare is also at stake, in that he has healthcare needs that are unlikely to be met if he is sold in this manner. All Hallows Hall (AHH), a vibrant community hub in Easton in Bristol, is under threat from closure from it's current owner. That's why we are calling on the Bristol City Council to support our application to turn All Hallows Hall into a community asset and thereby protect it for use by the community. Without this protection, All Hallows Hall, a fantastic Grade 2 listed building, risks being turned into flats, or lost completely. Run by volunteers, the site has been transformed over four years from a derelict eyesore to become a venue that has had 25,000 people visit to enjoy live music, theatre, circus performances, markets, art installations, and more. It's a venue that has become a space for community groups to run clubs and activities - from Aikido to choirs. "I am just one of thousands that has been positively effected by the hall presence. It has given me a place to offer inner city young adults free drama training through Tank Theatre and the now legendary M.C.Beth performances. And it continues to support these and other emerging artists by offering us free and cheap rehearsal spaces. It is vital and the only space in Easton where Theatre and Circus can thrive." The Church has a commitment to justice for the poor who are already suffering the worst effects of climate change and have done little to cause it. More frequent and intense hurricanes and flooding, longer and more frequent droughts and sea-level rise is already a reality that millions face across the globe, especially in the developing world. Climate changing is having a negative impact on food security leading to famine and conflict. In addition to the thousands of fatalities caused by these climate disasters many more people are forced from their homes. We accept the science that climate change is being driven by human emissions of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide. We acknowledge that this is primarily caused by the burning of fossil fuels. We accept, as has been internationally agreed, global temperature rise should be limited to less than 2°C to avert the worst impacts of climate change. The fossil fuel companies have 5 times more coal, oil and gas in their reserves than we can safely burn and stay below 2°C global temperature rise. If no action is taken then these reserves will be burnt and the resulting climate change will be catastrophic. We must keep the oil in the soil, the coal in the hole and the gas beneath the grass. The church should take a moral stand and withdraw its investment from the fossil fuel industry.

An injustice against all the 96 people who died was inflicted upon the bereaved families. Their efforts to bring out the truth behind the deaths has been heroic, persistent and unbelievably difficult. They deserve public recognition of their service to British justice.

Continuing to enforce this ban will impact on the very essence of Museums, to teach and to educate. In the Museums' own words, the new exhibition 'A world of fragile parts' aims to “question the relationship between the copy and the original in a society that privileges authenticity”. How is this possible without document? There is no issue of copyright, nor of (usually) entrance fee. The Museum claims that unclogging the gangways will lead to more visitors. I argue it will lead to less, and destroy part of the soul of the Museum, for after all, to quote Le Corbusier. “Drawing in a sketchbook,” he wrote, “teaches first to look, and then to observe and finally perhaps to discover … and it is then that inspiration might come.” Please continue to allow the people to learn in these ways.

https://vimeo.com/163562207 The Coal Exchange, which stands proudly amongst its peers, has long been left to fall into disrepair. The building is battered and worn after years of decay. When people talk about this building, they will often talk of its past grandeur and place in history as the centre of the world’s controversial coal industry. The building ensured the flow of funds were channelled through her hallways, providing thousands of families with the means to feed and clothe their children. In many cases, what was seen as the centre of their community would also be the very reason to shorten their fragile lives. Whatever your thoughts are on this magnificent building, good or bad, you cannot deny it plays an integral part of the ancestry of Cardiff and wider-Wales. Many of the UK’s listed buildings no longer serve their original purpose, and developers do not wish to go into the detail that is required to save them. What they would prefer to do is sit in their ivory towers, looking no further than the plans strewn across their desks, with their fleet of advisors who serve to sterilise their new structure. This is not our intention. Signature Living and I intend to keep this building as close to the structure as possible. We certainly will not be changing any of the exterior walls, apart from re-engaging them with the building. It is widely known the rear of the building has had to bear the ingress of large amounts of water over many years, which has caused her wooden joints to not only rot, but to disengage from the main structure. This, along with the roof, will be the first of the tasks we set out to complete, as timing here is of the essence. With a listed building, such as The Coal Exchange, it is essential to preserve the structure as was intended when first erected, whilst ensuring it is self-sustaining – with the latter, arguably, being a primary aim for the building. British Red Cross is eager to sell our Knutsford War Memorial to McCarthy & Stone, which has stated it will sign the final document as soon as it has Cheshire East Council permission to DEMOLISH our Knutsford War Memorial. In the centre of commemorations for those who lost their lives during the Great War, our Community's Knutsford War Memorial, is being put up for sale for DEMOLITION, by the British Red Cross, which documents seem to show, was paid £275,000 to move in during 1995. (Yes that transaction is the wrong way round. We should all hope to buy our homes in such a way) British Red Cross has, I understand, not paid rent for that property during the subsequent 22 years. Nor has it paid any money to buy it. In any case it was not for sale. Some time ago (6/7 years?) it removed the (NHS agreed?) elderly day services and the nursery. The Community of this area has certainly NOT agreed - and not been consulted - about this proposed taking for demolition of its own community property. Knutsford War Memorial - our community-built-and-paid-for, war memorial - needs to be returned into the hands of the community which raised the funds pay for it.. and subsequently to extend it, for use of the local community. No Secretary of State for Health - nor any of his subsequent NHS Agents - had the right to take our War Memorial. Its all in the title - 'Health'. There was - on the other hand - a duty, when they ran our hospital, to preserve our War Memorial and to allow ongoing access to our War Memorial.. until it was returned, fully, to the hands of this Community in and around Knutsford. This Community has never been approached nor has it agreed to sell our War Memorial, which is the physical recognition by this Community of our war - and other - losses over the last century of wars.

The Hove Museum is an integral part of the culture and community of Brighton and Hove. It is part of the lives of the residents of Brighton and Hove and thousands of visitors too. It is a beautiful and historic building which houses an eclectic mix of exhibititions which enrich and enhance the lives of all who visit it. The Gardens are equally integral and are used by hundreds of residents each day for picnics, dog walking, children's games and quiet time. The Commmunity will be irreparably damaged if this is taken away.
