The above MPs are examples of unpopular unqualified Secretaries of State (SOS) and illustrate the obvious need for a move away from the "lucky dip" approach to assigning secretaries of states. In contrast, teachers and nurses have to study, have to complete Personal and Professional Development (PPD) reflective diaries in order to reflect, learn and improve their critical thinking skills and practice, as well as complete continued professional development (CPD). This would be done with reference to current peer reviewed articles and judged by qualified higher level academics. The same should be expected of those in positions of Power, like Secretaries of State (SOS). Here are alternatives to the "lucky dip" approach: The appointed must... 1. have an appropriate qualification in the field that has had a minimum of 1 year practice placement, or... 2. complete a compulsory six month practice placement, one month pertaining to different levels of practice in the field (that will help the person to obtain a holistic view of their area responsibility). Furthermore, five qualified advisors must be appointed (one for each year of office), who vote on the secretary's decisions. The appointed person in this option will be payed less as they lack the qualifications and the difference will be payed to their advisors, or.... 3. be supported by five (one for each year of office) qualified specialists put forward by the elected party, these are then voted in by professionals who work in the field.

Kingsley Road runs alongside two primary schools and is used by pedestrians, cyclists, cars and buses. After much campaigning by Kingsley Community Primary School, a zebra crossing has been added to the road, however many cars still speed through it and ignore pedestrians crossing the road. In order to make the road safer for all road users, we the undersigned propose reducing the speed limit to 20mph and enforcing it with a speed camera. Residents who live on Kingsley Road have reported that it is difficult to reverse out of their driveways currently, as other cars drive past so fast. A child from Kingsley School has been involved in an incident on the road. Many parents with children at the schools are in favour of reducing the speed limit, as are local residents. There is no need for this road to have a 30mph speed limit. A driver driving at 20mph is far less likely to be involved in a road collision than one driving at 30mph.

We are continually told by Government that privatisation or the involvement of the private sector is the cure for all economic woes. The NHS is suffering from creeping privatisation, the national rail system was sold off years ago and the government is currently selling off executive agencies such as Ordnance Survey regardless of the business case. However they appear to be strangely reluctant to apply their policies at the heart of government by selling off their own premises. About £3.5 billion will need to be spent in the next few years on repairing the Palace of Westminster in the least expensive option considered. The buildings are apparently subsiding and are in any case very vulnerable to rising sea levels. The government should accept the logic of their own policies and relieve us of this expensive burden by relocating to a less expensive location (possibly an out-of-town retail area with good communications), and to complete the package outsource their day-to-day support services to one of the many out-sourcing companies they consider competent to manage hospitals, prisons and the rail network.

The BBC was very quick to label Jeremy Corbyn as "Left-Wing" but has so far been reluctant to address George Osborne as "Right-Wing" we need to address the balance.

I'm disabled and I struggle do things that able bodied people do. It's so hard for me and other people with disabilities to manage extra cost like heating the home to keep warm, and general things like have fuel in the car to get myself around. I'll start from the beginning. At the young age of 3 I was shot in the head with an air rifle, which left me with neurological injuries. Due to the way I walk I've damaged my spine and neck and now have arthritis in my spine and neck. I'm in a lot of pain on a daily basis. I take numerous amounts of pain killers including morphine. Not nice. I can walk very short distances aided, but mainly use a wheelchair. Disabled people need a voice: one that will be heard. I'm sick of living in silence. We, as disabled people are a part of the community and do need extra financial help. Stop punishing us.

Community Councils are a cornerstone of any community and legally are not allowed to be politically motivated. By allowing three activists take up key position in the Lochgelly Community Council for the benefit of local Labour councillors then community representation is lacking and the process of local representation and local democracy is subverted to benefit political agendas to the detriment of the wider community.

I'm not a terrorist, my wife is not a terrorist, my kids are not terrorists nor are my neighbours terrorists. However, I do not want government to be able to access my personal information on my device, in the cloud or where ever and whenever they like. If you think that they will require a judges decree to access your data, think again. 1984 comes to mind, they work for us, they must listen to us. Go away, leave us alone and stop perpetuating war and devastation around the world!
