The BBC must provide fair coverage of the protests over the Dakota Access PipelineThere have been debates about the proposed pipeline to transport oil across America for over 2 years. The route chosen appears to be in breach of several treaties between the Government of America and first nation tribes concerning the preservation of sacred land and burial sites; investigation by the the Army Corps of Engineers, charged with ensuring the safety and sustainability of any use of public lands, has been cursory and incomplete. A small group of First Nation people, with support from across the world, are trying to stop the pipeline, not only because of the threat to sacred land but also because of the threat to drinking water. There is significant evidence that their human rights have been breached and that actions by local law officers have been illegal and disproportionate. Full and fair reporting by the BBC would facilitate a wider debate on the important balance between the demands of corporate monopolies and social and environmental protection.500 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Jacky Smith

REFORM THE IPCC RENAMED OFFICE FOR POLICE CONDUCT OPC. www.brightonscandal.org.ukThe Home Office state the IPCC are the only way to hold the police to account. It is of concern that the IPCC are able to block a complaint relating to serious police corruption. As a result of this the police are able to act without fear of prosecution and innocent people are locked up. The IPCC blocked my complaint presented by Simon Kirby MP regarding senior police officers who lied when they stated my brother, Alex, stabbed a police officer in the chest with a very large kitchen knife. The case was dropped when it was proved the large knife to be a small mobile phone. The 'stabbed' Officer, facing near death, became a media hero and received an award. Alex served 15 months in a high security prison awaiting trial. Campaign site includes IPCC complaint, full story, evidence and letters by senior police officers. APPOINT NIGEL FARAGE AS BRITISH CONSUL IN ANCHORAGE, ALASKA, U.S.A.It would settle the current speculation and uncertainty at this crucial pre-Brexit time, about the role and influence the UK government would hope Mr Farage would be able to wield in an important resource-rich part of the USA, where doubtless his persuasion will secure important non-EU, non-TIPP trade deals for the UK. We also believe he would find the political climate, if not the physical, much to his liking, and he could also stand watch against the climate-change brigade in a key geographical area.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jan Cosgrove

George Medal for Jo Cox MPJo Cox devoted her life to helping the vulnerable, and died attempting to protect the unarmed from a murderer. I believe that this exemplary behaviour warrants recognition at a high level in line with other similar acts of bravery regardless of personal cost.1,337 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Rob Morrison

Demand the UN condemn USA Govt. and force US Federal intervention to stop attacks on DAPL protectorsThis will set a trend through the western world that it is ok to beat, shoot and blow up unarmed peaceful citizens of the respective countries. Firing grenades into crowds, whether a fragmentation, concussion or a flash grenade has the potential to kill and is considered lethal force. These are unarmed civilians, not combatants and they are citizens of America being massacred by the Federal Establishment of the USA, much as many other countries around the world have been. Attacks on journalists are also a clear violation of international human rights and the destruction of media equipment shows an agenda to hide the true level of violence being inflicted upon unarmed civilians at Standing Rock.114 of 200 SignaturesCreated by David Allain

Make Michael Forbes "Trump's Nemesis" Ambassador to the USADonald Trump thinks he can choose seven times failed parliamentary candidate, professional bigot and amateur clown, Nigel Farage, to be our Ambassador to the USA. That is outrageous and not his choice. In order to reassert the democratic rights of the British people please install Michael Forbes as the UK Ambassador to the USA. Michael has shown his tenacious ability to stand up to Donald Trump's bullying time and again and as a former Scotsman of the year he has a stronger democratic mandate than Farage. To read up more about Michael's heroic stance see here: http://www.bbcamerica.com/anglophenia/2012/12/anti-trump-farmer-michael-forbes-wins-scotsman-of-the-year-award http://fortune.com/2016/06/22/donald-trump-scotland-golf/ Please sign and share6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jaz Rocha

NO DANGEROUS CUTS TO AVON FIRE & RESCUE SERVICEIn an emergency, every second counts. The cuts being proposed by Avon Fire & Rescue Service would compromise our ability to get to an emergency quickly and would limit our use of vital, specialist equipment to fight fires and rescue people. The cuts would mean the loss of 49 firefighter jobs, removal of full time cover at night from Yate Fire Station and downgrading vital aerial appliances and a heavy rescue tender which covers the motorway network. We know times are tight, but these cuts would compromise the safety of the public and of firefighters. Demand that public safety is put ahead of budget cuts. Please sign our petition and say NO to dangerous cuts. Thank you, Avon FBU.1,616 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by South West Region Fire Brigades Union

Refuse Royal Assent to the Investigatory Powers BillThe most important liberty of all is privacy, a right to operate in silence and in peace. Assuming no one is being harmed and everyone is innocent until proven guilty; I'd rank it above the freedom to speak. I wish to admit, but avoid, my republican nature in my argument and I think I can. I wish to remain polite and not be too crude. Unfortunately life is very much crude, and events are rarely polite. I cannot help but notice the masses around me suffering poverty under the guise of austerity. The sheer amount of charities that have sprung up, to cope with public services' duties. I feel this creates an air of "Us First", pitting poor against poor. Whilst those who are supposed to serve this kingdom do so well. This is aimed at our politicians and not a republican's slip. You have a chance to break with tradition and remind the world that "how we've always done it" is a terrible argument for a society that wishes to progress. As I'm sure you are well aware, Royal Assent has not been given in person since 1854 and has not been refused since 1707. I believe that breaking both of these records on the same day would send an important message through the ranks who support this bill, as well as to the people who oppose it. I fear that if you do not, Eric Arthur Blair may become the greatest prophet this country ever created. This comes from someone who hates clichéd tropes.24 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Allan Forbes

Spend the Buckingham Palace refurb money on the homeless, disabled and poor insteadI believe this is entirely wrong and completely disgusting while there are homeless people in this country, disabled people having their means of transport and care taken off them, lone parents like me who are having to beg and go through the torturous DWP system for a small amount of support while off work with health problems, while people are going to food banks for food to feed their children. The royal family already have sumptuous places to live and do not need to spend this money while the government are forcing austerity on us.144 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Rachel Kirkham

Do not make Nigel Farage a lord"A peerage would bring Mr Farage into Parliament, to which he has consistently failed to be elected." Nigel Farage consistently slammed the EU for being undemocratic and continuously sung the song that our laws are being influenced by unelected officials. People who voted to leave Europe did so for these reasons, amongst others, and so for Farage to be made a lord would be entirely inappropriate. 52% of the EU referendum voters do not want this going on - the referendum already told us that, and Farage himself led the campaign to leave - however, there are surely few people within the 48% of Remainers who would like to see this peerage granted either. This would be the final nail in the coffin of the UK's pale imitation of a democracy. Chagos Islanders will not be allowed home, UK government saysMorality. A small island nation wiped out by the United States of America with the co-operation of their British toadies between 1967 and 1973 when the entire population was exiled. The islanders' territory stolen because of 'strategic importance' (for the Yanks). There is often talk of British 'decency'. It simply doesn't exist, especially when the strings are pulled by Uncle Sam. It's time to stop this outrageous nonsense. Give the Chagos back now. And at least they'd inherit a first class airfield to bring in tourists - Diego Garcia International!32 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Roger Casstles
