I am a student at Blackburn University Centre I have created a project linking with the LGBT+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexuals and Transgender plus) Community. I think there is a lack of support out there. There was support sessions in place but due to funding cuts the help diminished so I want to re-instate that to the public. So I want to have support sessions in place offered by trained staff in all schools, colleges and Universities. I feel that there is a need of this campaign due to a lack of understanding of the meanings and clarification of the LGBT+ Community. SO I want YOUR HELP!! Some facts - 58% did not feel that their school was a safe and welcoming place for lesbian, gay or bisexual pupils, also 13% said that reporting bullying actually resulted in anything being done about it. 50% of lesbian and bisexual women under the age of 20 have self-harmed in the past year, compared to 1 in 15 generally. (Stonewall: 2008) and finally LGB people are twice as likely as heterosexual people to have suicidal thoughts or to make suicide attempts. Also another shocking fact - Lesbian, Gay and Bisexuals people are two to three times more likely than heterosexual people to suffer from depression. I want your help so please sign this petition - I will appreciate it!

We can no longer credibly hand out rewards for mere post holding. It is neither just,right or proper to present any award to someone who has caused such personal misery to so many people. Neither is it appropriate to reward someone for spiralling debt.

The world needs to send Donald Trump a message - while the American people may have been conned by his reality show of a campaign, the rest of the world does not subscribe to his hateful and offensive rhetoric.

As per the UN Findings, Grave Violations is serious and it appears Ministers / MPs think they can merely dismiss. Large numbers of people have been seriously affected by policies and measures, cuts and 'austerity'. Lives have been lost and many more are extremely suffering, distressed at how they will keep a roof over head or put food on the table and so on. It has also been observed that there is a great unfairness in that Corporations and the rich have tax cuts, banks were previously bailed out, MPs claim expenses for second homes and there is a trait of 'Government mates' deals by Conservative Government. It is also observed in such matters that management consultants are employed unnecessarily, that charge the public purse excessive amounts for template reports on how councils can make cuts - yet this was exposed recently by BBC 2 under 'Who's Spending Britain's Billions'. Plus there are unknown expenditures on systems with pretend aim to save monies, that cost more (on the face of things). What this reflects is the constant attacks on the poor or sick and disabled or low income families should have been avoided. Had the focus been on retrieving unpaid taxes by tax 'dodgers' and we believe HMRC had stated £34 Billion uncollected tax as a total, you can see there was a great imbalance when discriminating with those policies that the UN deems to have breached Human Rights and Discriminated against protected groups.

Today is Remembrance Sunday 2016, we all remember those who have fallen in the service of our country, but what about those who are living through hell? These ex service people need somewhere safe and warm to get back on their feet, no matter how long it takes. For many, living in a military environment would be like coming home, it would be familiar to them, even though it may not be a proper military camp, the buildings, the layout and the environment would be something they could all identify with. Yes all of these people volunteered to serve our country and go wherever the MOD decided to send them to do whatever needed to be done, they didn't question it, they just went and did it to the best of their ability. Many came out the other end without problems, but many did have problems when they left the services and now find themselves living a hopeless life, on the streets, cold and vulnerable and only charities to help them, it's high time the Government and MOD faced up to their responsibilities and adhered to the terms of the Military Covenant and looked after their own. Please retain one of your estates and fully fund it for the sake of these unfortunate people.

The integrity of democracy, and that tax payer owned or funded projects are financed on merit, with no gain what so ever to our government and public representatives or family, whether it is cash or gain or perceived gain of any kind to these individuals.

52% of the British people have spoken, we want to leave the EU, but we have been given no concrete details of what that actually entails. Article 50 needs to be triggered but we need assurances from the government that our voices will continue to be heard, that out best interests will be kept in mind, that the UK as a whole will be best served in this move. Some of the poorest communities in our country have, until now, relied upon EU funding. We need to know what the government will do to ensure that those people most at risk will not suffer as a result of this move. We need to know that the jobs we all rely on to put food on the table will not be at risk as a result of the deals being negotiated on our behalf. In short, we shouldn't be leaving the EU at any cost. We have to know that it is the very best move for our families and the wider UK population as a whole and the government must be held accountable for this by way of a second referendum.

This Generation have given us everything. They fought for our freedom during WW2. Yet we give them nothing but misery, made to live on a pittance of a State pension. Without this Generations efforts and sacrifices during WW2, none of us would be here today.

In the current post-Brexit climate of uncertainty the UK Government will be seeking opportunities for beneficial trade deals with the US under Trump. This threatens to condone Trump's racist, Islamophobic and sexist policies in the eyes of the world. Diplomatic relations between the UK and US must be used to check Trump's maverick disregard for the equal rights and dignity of all US citizens and, at the same time, send a clear message in the UK (and throughout the world) that sexism and racism will not be tolerated by advanced democratic nations. Trump may have been voted in, but votes do not trump human rights.

It has become increasingly obvious that those seeking political office or power and the media cannot be relied upon to fairly and accurately represent the facts to win their arguments. This polarised exaggeration has now reached the stage where it becomes increasingly impossible for people to make an informed choice on issues essential to the wellbeing and future of our society. I propose that new legislation be introduce to limit the malicious use of false statements to further agenda’s in public office or debate, while it is a fundamental principal that free speech is an essential aspect of modern society checks and balances must be borough in to address the increasing tendencies to exaggerate or make up facts to win elections. Malice the desire to harm someone; ill will. Law wrongful intention, especially as increasing the guilt of certain offences. I propose the definition be expanded to include the desire to harm another argument, wilfully putting forward false facts or failing to check facts pertinent to a proposition would become a crime and there should be consequence’s for wilfully doing so, the use of these strategies to win an election should also be sufficient grounds to declare the election void and any results invalid. In our modern age it is quite reasonable to insist large media campaigns perform with integrity and that the current trend for excessive false statement’s be challenged. Please do not respond with anything implying The Seven principles of public life (that were first set out in 1995 by Lord Nolan, the founding Chairman of the Committee on Standards in Public Life) cover this, as they obviously are not working and are not being enforced. Any basis of ethical standards expected of holders of public office MUST be backed with legislation or are meaningless plattitudes brough up to avoid the serious underlying issues threatening our democracy.

The attempt to control lobbyists enacted under the Cameron government was a travesty of the reforms proposed by a Select Committee of the Commons. Instead of restraining the activities of lobbyists on behalf of major companies, the new law only restricted the activities of firms which offered their services to commercial enterprises while simultaneously placing heavy burdens on charities, trade unions and NGOs.
