EDINBURGH NEEDS A PERMANENT MARKET/BOOT SALE PLACEIts important as a community gathering .Often items were sold for pennies and items normally out of budget ranges were there at a reasonable price. I bough a lot of my clothes and dishes for my home there Along with curtains and other necessary items. Too many people live on hourly or short contracts and boot sales are invaluable Charity shops have almost priced some parts of our community out altogether Their prices have risen -a huge amount- Its also a great communal meeting point and if a permanent place was provided perhaps a small cafe could be set up too ,creating a job for someone??!! People just love a good market .62 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Cait Ni Cadlaig

STOP HUNTING SCOTTISH WILDLIFETo stop this woman and all people thinking it is okay to hunt animals for sport Why anyone would think it is morally just to kill a innocent creature is beyond me and for nothing more but because they believe it to be fun75 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lewis Kelly

Make all new homes Zero Carbon in useThe government has released the The Future Homes Standard 2019 Consultation on changes to Part L (conservation of fuel and power) and Part F (ventilation) of the Building Regulations for new dwellings for consultation, but it is a huge and complicated document that takes a long time to fill in even if you know what it is talking about! But we are in a Climate Emergency - we just need to change the Building Regulations to make sure that all new homes are built to a much better standard. Zero Carbon in use is a good starting point, so let's not make it too complicated. Please sign this petition to make sure that we start building much better houses. Once they are built houses are very difficult and expensive to upgrade, so doing it now is the only sensible answer.137 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Colin Usher

Boots, Scrap Prescription Delivery Charges NowFor the vast majority of people in the U.K. receiving their medications is a necessity and not a luxury, however, it is wrong for Boots to charge individuals like the elderly and disabled a £5 charge per prescription delivered or an annual charge of £55 unless the prescription is ordered online in which case delivery of such prescriptions from Boots are delivered free of charge. If the vast majority of small and independent Pharmacies can deliver prescriptions free of charge then surely one of the largest retailers in the U.K. can do likewise. This charge is almost a tax on health for those who can least afford it and I call on Boots to scrap this unfair charge immediately as it is hitting some of the most vulnerable members of our society. If Boots believe that the funding of Pharmacy services is not what it should be then that is a matter Boots should take up with the relevant Health Departments across the U.K. rather than introduce a charge which many can ill afford.16 of 100 SignaturesCreated by John Bannon MBE

Plastic and foil laminated seal inside milk bottle topsThe efforts to reduce global warming are hampered by actions such as putting unnecessary plastic seals under milk bottles. 1. It is futile to prevent leakage since the bottles do not leak once the seal has been removed and the cap securely replaced. I have never succeeded in losing one drop of milk even though I have tried to by swinging the bottle around. 2. To prevent tampering surely another method should be used which doesn't involve the use of plastic. 3. It is difficult for the elderly and those with arthritic hands to remove the seal.62 of 100 SignaturesCreated by John Hart

Keep Monklands Hospital where it isNHS Lanarkshire wants to move Monklands Hospital to a new site in either Gartcosh, Glenmavis or Easter Moffat - all of which are remote from centres of population and do not have the necessary transport links. The current site is central, has good transport links and most importantly will be redeveloped as a hospital (poorly disguised as a community health village). Why therefore move it to another site, ignoring recent important developments such as the Maggies and Lanarkshire Beatson and then build two hospitals? This is foolish and provides no value for money.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Willie Cairns

Ban plastic caps on detergent like bold 2 in 1With the amount of plastic waste, do we really need more? Walk up and down the supermarket isle for your washing detergents or fabric softeners and the vast majority of them will have a removable plastic head so you can measure the amount of liquid/gel you want to use. Do we really need all these plastic heads? can we not re use the ones we all have lying around our houses?6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Rick Massey

Secure moped and bike shedIn light of all the crime that is happening to the moped/bikes or to us for the perpetrators to steal the moped, its horrific and scary. Based on a police research, over 9000 scooter, motorcycles and mopeds were stolen in london in the past year only. https://www.met.police.uk/scootersecurity Even if one is on the job one fears for his life https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7849941/amp/Man-stabbed-death-north-London-murder-capital-2020.html. Therefore it's important for moped riders, motorcyclists and scooter riders to find places where they can park it away safely without fearing the worst all the time.10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dana Al-HUSSEIN

The Gym Group: Bring back the Music LicenseForgetting your headphones when you get to the gym can be the worst pain you’ve ever felt, not being able to listen to your favourite UK Dance playlist, A couple of months ago it would’ve been possible to do a workout listening to The Gym Groups sound system. Artists like David Guetta, Example, J Hus, Avicii would be played, But now the music license at The Gym Group has gone. And the music is dreadful131 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Jeremy Gates
