Bird flu jabsI know of someone who had to have the jab because she was working with children. She developed narcolepsy and depression ultimately taking her own life. Her sister gave an interview to The Guardian and name GlaxoSmithKline as the manufacturer. A GO is quoted as not understanding why the DWP won't agree to compensation. Working parents being punished by Tax Credits slashMany of us, having put our details into budget calculators, have been horrified to find we will be much worse off once this budget swings into action. Some of us, already struggling and on the poverty line (which has conveniently been moved by this Government) will really struggle after the cuts to tax credits for working people. The choice between heating & eating will become reality for some. For a lot of people, we work to provide a better existence for our children, and also to give them a positive role model. We are not work-shy benefit claimants, we had children and then continued to work. Giving free childcare to 2-3 year olds really doesn't help those of us with slightly older children, paying for childcare during school holidays so that we can continue working. Many services are ran by working parents. The majority of those who work in this country are parents, and the tax credits helps our family finances to be survivable. It seems so unfair that we are doing what the government wants - "Get Britain Working" - we are!! And we are also parents, who are eking out an existence with Tax Credits help, without that help there is literally no reason for us to work. Its unfair, its unjust, why punish us?? If ALL working parents chose a day next year, and ALL chose NOT to work that day, to stay home and be parents, for one day, imagine the effect that would have!! A big message, from ALL of us working parents, don't cut our tax credits. Please.138 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Eleanor Tristram

Legislate for complete ban on dogs in hunting. It is morally obscene to hunt, terrorise and rip to pieces a living animal for sport. The hunts that are flouting the law need to learn to respect the law and after the SNP being lobbied by such a large percentage of the population on both sides of the border, such a ban would be in keeping with the will of the people355 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Annie Harrower-Gray

Upgrade the Grid Now to facilitate Rapid Expansion of Renewable Generation.Experts tell us that the time left to act to prevent catestrophic climate change is very short. Yet the UK government, National Grid/Transco & Western Power Distribution are knowingly preventing further applications for Renewables generation in the South West of England, except for minor domestic installations, until grid upgrades associated with the ill fated Hinkley Point 'C' nuclear power station project are carried out, which currently has slipped to 2023 at best & may yet even be cancelled. It is clearly evident that government policy, which supports expansion of nuclear power, is deliberately holding back further growth of Renewables in the south West in favour of nuclear power. If we are to prevent a climate runaway situation we need rapid growth of clean, green sustainable power now. The nuclear industry, which world events show has a poor safety record, cannot respond in the required timescales. The UK government needs to recognise that alongside demand management/reduction measures, rapid implementation of Renewable Generation is the only way of urgently tackling Climate Change. The South West of England has vast potential for all types of Renewable generation & it is essential that government policy measures are implemented urgently to require National Grid & Western Power to commence upgrade of the grid system in the South West specifically to facilitate rapid essential expansion of Renewable Energy.23 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Peter Smith

Please Help Us Change the Doctrine of Joint Enterprise and Sch21 Mandatory Minimum TariffsDid you know right now, in 21st century Britain, there are thousands of people imprisoned for life for crimes committed by others? These men, women and children - some as young as 13 - have been convicted of murder, despite the fact that prosecutors know they didn’t kill anyone. This epidemic is known as Joint Enterprise and was highlighted in Jimmy McGovern’s BBC drama, Common. What if we told you that people (including politicians) know all about it, that it is widely discussed and widely criticised, yet this government has failed to act. Joint Enterprise has been left largely unchecked and unregulated until our campaign brought the government to account. This petition will help us to force the government to abolish this unjust law and replace it with a fairer form of justice for everyone. This petition will also seek to reform the tariff system in Schedule 21 of the Criminal Justice Act 2003. This denies judges the discretion to sentence on the basis of genuine culpability and results in unfairness, particularly to defendants convicted under the doctrine of joint enterprise. Please sign JENGbA’s petition and help stop hundreds of people per year being convicted and condemned to life sentences for crimes committed by other people. Also Joint Enterprise will be challenged in the Supreme Court this October which will be the first time they will be considering the question of the harm Joint Enterprise causes secondary parties. This is a real opportunity to change the law and so if you are able to donate funds, please pledge today via: https://www.crowdjustice.co.uk/case/changing-the-law-on-joint-enterprise/ Please don’t forget to SHARE!11,113 of 15,000 SignaturesCreated by Joint Enterprise Not Guilty by Association (JENGbA)

Defend The Right To StrikeWorkers' rights must be protected, and not left wide open to exploitation by Government, multinational corporations and unscrupulous employers. Plans for the biggest shake-up of strike rules in 30 years would make holding dodgy employers to account almost impossible. Please sign the petition to stop the government sweeping away our rights at work now.12,251 of 15,000 SignaturesCreated by Jo Green

Calderdale Public Service Users PetitionCalderdale Council pays private companies to carry out many public services that the Council or the NHS used to provide. So: - public money is being used for private profits instead of the public good - some contracts go to companies with dubious ethical standards -democracy suffers - commercial confidentiality means the public can’t know if Councillors are making good decisions408 of 500 SignaturesCreated by rosemary hedges

Hands Off the BBCThe BBC is one of Britain's crown jewels, and number one export in terms of influence around the world. Along with millions in this country, I grew up with the BBC, as did my children. I want it to be free from interference for my grandchildren, too.395 of 400 SignaturesCreated by John Pawsey

zero carbon housing is goodWhile it may make new homes fractionally cheaper to buy, they will be much more costly to run for both the home owners and the planet. How will we meet our green emissions targets with retrograde steps like this?163 of 200 SignaturesCreated by candida lonsdale
