We oppose exploratory drilling for coal bed methane in East KentWe know that even exploratory drilling will constitute a high risk to our water, our environment, our health, our wildlife as well as involving a heavy lorry traffic and noise pollution and the processing of toxic water pumped out of the coal seams. Drilling will also threaten our buildings with partial subsidence, if these applications are successful they will pave the way to the industrialisation of our countryside.2,240 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by stuart cox

For cortisones sake ! give steroid dependents the life saving injection they needPeople are dying. Adults teenagers and children. My daughter Molly was diagnosed in 2013. Our life saving injection consists of 3 pieces. A glass vial containing liquid medicine. A syringe. And a 2 inch needle. Patients are expected to draw up the medication in a syringe, attach a needle and then intramusculary inject it into the thigh. All whilst going into a coma because their organs are shutting down. This is not acceptable. My daughter cannot do this. Others have failed too, some resulting in death. Schools and workplaces will not give the old fashioned style injection leaving patients with their lives in the balance. Since I started this petition hundreds of adrenal patients have died. I now have a pharmaceutical company and a pen developer. We just need the British government to help us make this happen. This below is the original text. My little girl who is 14 has been diagnosed with hypopituitarism, thus meaning her pituitary gland is not working affecting many glands in her body. The most serious being her adrenal gland, she is now cortisone dependent which means she needs to carry a life saving emergency injection everywhere she goes. Because this condition is quite rare there is not a quick pen injection like the epi pen or diabetes pen. This means that in a time of crisis a small glass bottle containing cortisone is snapped opened a syringe is drawn up with the medication, a sterile needle is taken out of the packet and then attached to the said syringe. This is then injected intramuscular in to the leg. I am very sure that my little girl in a close to unconscious state would not even be able to take the top off the little glass tube let alone draw it in to a syringe and then inject it in to herself but this is what she would HAVE to do to save her own life if she were alone. I'm terrified to let her out of my sight. Even I worry that in this situation as a parent I would not be able to calmly do this. I know many other mothers and sufferers also feel this way, it seems that it is not viable because there are very few people with this condition which gives the impression that their lives are not as important as those who suffer with diabetes or fatal allergy sufferers. Ultimately I would like my little girl to finally have a normal life, she has suffered with very poor health for the past 14 years, she has gone through so much and come through so much I think now she deserves the right to a more healthy life with the safe knowledge that no mistakes can be made in saving her life in an emergency situation. She needs to fly the nest eventually like her brother and sisters will, she cannot go out in to the big wide world by herself without an easy to use pen, consider if this were yourself or a family member she deserves the right to an independent life. This injection pen could mean life or death to all of these people. Please consider listening to my plea, I will do anything personally in my own power to make it happen, everyone deserves the right to life. All other petitions and campaigns have fallen on deaf ears. So please everyone get behind me and show your support. Using a 3 three year olds words (her words) 11 years ago whilst suffering double pneumonia in hospital on Christmas Eve. 'Mummy its not fair any more like this' It hasn't been fair since then with her health and this situation is not fair either, her words may be in the right places now but she is still my little girl and i love her so much. Please listen this time Yours sincerely Rachel Pegler. If you haven't already signed and shared it will only take 30 seconds of your life to add your name to this petition. Many of you know my daughter was diagnosed with Addison's Disease last year along with a few other illnesses. It is a life long and life threatening condition. She relies on family members to inject her if she goes into Adrenal Crisis, but this isn't a straight forward ready made injection..it consists of a syringe, 2 needles and 2 vials...would you be comfortable preparing that and injecting your loved one when they are dying in front of you. I've no doubt it will be extremely hard to keep my emotions at bay and think clearly. Victoria isn't well again, we're waiting on further test results to see what is happening with her body now. Although this petition isn't Victoria's story, this young girl needs the same treatment. Please sign and share this to try and get an epi-pen manufactured for people like Victoria and Molly. Many thanks23,614 of 25,000 SignaturesCreated by Rachel Pegler

Let Children in Wales have a Family Holiday During Term TimeMany families from poor backgrounds, can only afford to go on holiday during term time, as holidays are about 60% more expensive during the holiday period. Many families where parents work are unable to take time off during the five full weeks of the summer holidays. Children have the right to a holiday as much as anyone, and often learn plenty, ie visits to places of interest or learning to swim, or other skills.14,502 of 15,000 SignaturesCreated by bethany walpole-wroe

know the dangerPeople's lives are at risk, staff, prisoners and the general public. The long-term implications of just warehousing criminals will ensure that the UK will become more volatile and dangerous. Everyone should support this campaign and visit the Know the Danger Facebook page before we pave the way for another generation of people living in fear of violence within society and breeding hardened criminals by just warehousing those sent to prison.755 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Michael Rolfe

Put Houses of Parliament restaurants out to tenderI believe that the time has come that our representatives should no longer be allowed to eat at subsidised private restaurants, and that the food they consume should be brought into line with food the general public can buy at the same price point. Our MPs, having just given themselves a 25% pay rise, are still able to eat subsidised food at these exclusive restaurants, often for less than the cost of a full english breakfast at a greasy spoon cafe, or a McDonalds "meal deal". Please refer to the cost they pay for meals as shown in the freedom of information request from 2012, as linked below for some indication of the (sarcasm alert !) outrageous costs they have to pay. http://www.parliament.uk/site-information/foi/foi-responses/foi-disclosures-2012/foi-disclosures-july---september-2012-/house-of-commons-restaurants-and-bars/ Example: Grilled rump steak with Diane sauce and parmentier potatoes £4181 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Colin Wilson

STOP EXCESSIVE CAR PARKING CHARGES AT THE HEREFORD WYE VALLEY TRUST HOSPITALSo that people can visit their friends and relatives in hospital, or stay with them for check ups, and not have to pay excessive car parking charges that they can ill-afford. The current charges hit the most vulnerable, and people when they are most vulnerable.2,575 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Amanda Attfield

No War with SyriaI believe this War is simply a ruse to escalate the problems in the Middle East and enable the West to take more resources from sovereign states. This is the stated plan of the Military Industrial Complex. We should not take part.1,520 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by julie lowe

Stop Fracking in Tameside.Fracking is quite possibly one of the most dangerous forms of creating energy ever invented. Whilst drilling chemicals are released into the ground with the water that get released into the environment. The chemicals are supposed to stay in the concrete pipes but they rarely do... The pipes crack and the chemicals leak into the environment and into our drinking water. Also the chemicals are released into the atmosphere leaving people and animals to breath this toxic mixture of chemicals into their body. The result is illness, disability, cancers, unable to drink tap water, our animals dying and our plants dying. The result is a whole toxic mess... And then there's the earth tremors and earthquakes.1,546 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Charlotte Hughes

Stop Fracking: Gloucestershire County CouncilHorizontal hydraulic fracturing, ‘fracking’, is a way of extracting oil and/or gas. Water, sand and toxic chemicals are injected at high pressure into underground rocks to shatter them. This releases the gas/oil which can be collected. The oil and gas industries claim that fracking will increase UK energy security and create jobs. But the amount of gas or oil estimated to exist in shale/coal bed formations and the amount that can be extracted are very different. The evidence in the US is that - contrary to extravagant industry claims of a century of natural gas - fracking wells are already dropping in production. It is an extremely expensive extraction method that cannot provide a long-term return. It cannot create either energy or job security. However, fracking is not just expensive economically, but more disturbingly in the costs to the environment and human health as well as that of livestock. There have been many instances in the US of ground and surface water contamination as a result of fracking activities, some of which have caused drastic health problems and even necessitated state or corporate provision of alternative drinking water. Access to drinkable water is one of the key achievements of developed nations. Water Aid states that 768 million people worldwide - roughly 1 in 10 - still don't have access to safe water. Do we in Britain, one of the most advanced nations in the world, want to risk members of our own population joining that number? Absolutely not. But that's exactly what fracking would risk. All oil wells are concrete-and-steel constructions that will eventually fail, and even in the short term, fracking wells have an estimated 6% chance of a fault of some kind (industry estimate). The specifics of local geology and underground watercourses cannot be reliably predicted or legislated for. For a fracking site to be profitable, hundreds of wells are required. The maths - and the logic - isn't difficult. This practice is simply too dangerous, and the return too uncertain, expensive and limited, to justify. As for jobs, they go where the political will and the entrepreneurs go. The oil and gas industry would have it be a choice between environment and jobs. This is misleading and profoundly unhelpful - the Council and indeed the Government should support job creation in the renewables industry which (unlike the oil and gas industry) is actually in steady growth, and will reduce carbon emissions... We therefore call on the council to preserve the quality of life of Gloucestershire's residents and those of the UK in general, and reject any and all planning applications for fracking including Coal Bed Methane and Underground Coal Gasification applications, whether now or in future.2,304 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Jojo Mehta

N&P Windows, Wallasey to move their factory to an industrial estateWallasey Road is a residential area. Since the arrival of N&P Windows, Wallasey it now has an added rubbish tip/factory that threatens our health, pollutes the land, obstructs the road and pavements, threatened pensioners and noisily operates from 06.00hrs. Pictorial evidence is available here: http://nimby2013.wordpress.com This factory has allowed its waste material to escape its yard for ten years. Vehicles belonging to this factory and its suppliers have blocked and obstructed the road and pavement for ten years. The presence of this factory and associated raw and waste materials is entirely inappropriate for a residential area. I have no idea how many children would be poisoned by the tonnes of stored PVC if there was a fire in this site, but it would be considerably more than none. PVC when burned releases carcinogenic dioxins, these do not kill immediately but long-term exposure is linked to impairment of the immune system, the developing nervous system, the endocrine system and reproductive functions. (http://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs225/en/) This is a residential area, your neighbour should not be a threat to your life or the lives of others. It is time for Wirral Borough Council to control this factory and protect the lives of the residents. When we are leaving petition forms we are told; 1 That people cannot park outside the Post Office because of N&P's vehicles 2 Complaints about damage to vehicles from N&P's vans 3 How house prices are lowered by N&P's activities 4 That this is no place for a factory 5 Foul language used by their staff in front of children 6 Sweeping out of their vehicles into the street 7 The company is too big for the area 8 It makes no sense for them to be here 9 Forcing people to wait whilst they load their vans 10 Being forced to reverse cars into Wallasey Road 11 Absolutely no concern or respect for road users or pedestrians 12 Why has this gone on for so long? 13 What are the Council doing about this? 14 The move would actually benefit N&P its suppliers and staff 15 Under Oath in 2006, the owner of N&P stated that they had no intention of staying in Rugby Road for more than two years. UPDATE: I am currently contacting the current Home Secretary The Rt Honourable Theresa May to look into the allegations of corruption that include the proprietors, members of Wirral Borough Council and Derek Thew of The Planning Inspectorate. After signing please take a moment to leave a comment. You can contact the present leader of Wirral Borough Council here: [email protected]234 of 300 SignaturesCreated by John Rodgers

Bring back The BohemiaSince it opened a year ago, The Bohemia has become a much-loved and popular local pub. It has quickly become a valued part of the local community, hosting a range of events from film nights and music to stand-up comedy. Along with its good food and great range of real ales, The Bohemia attracted people from all parts of the community. It has also supported an event organised last Christmas to promote local businesses in North Finchley. Unlike the previous pub on The Bohemia’s site, The Bohemia is a genuine community pub that has not attracted any police complaints and is a real asset to our high street. We want North Finchley to be a thriving and successful town centre where people want to live, work and visit for business, shopping and leisure. The Bohemia was part of this and its closure is a set back.1,033 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Alon Or-bach

Keep A&E and Stroke services in ShrewsburyThe trust's medical director Edwin Borman told BBC Radio Shropshire "we need to have a countywide debate... we need to have serious decision-making" about the future of accident and emergency care in the county. Shrewsbury and Telford both have A&E departments but the trust is concerned resources are spread too thinly to sustain both of them. Mr Borman said that a trial to move urgent stroke care to Telford had resulted in patients getting the most important parts of their treatment more quickly. People in Montgomeryshire and surrounding areas need services to remain in Shrewsbury as Telford is too far travel.
